Respected Sir, the Indian Red Cross Society, Srikakulam District Branch, organized a Plantation Programme as part of Vana Mahotsavam-2024 at Government High School, Kinthali, Ponduru Mandal, in collaboration with the Junior Red Cross Wing. Sri Chintada Govind Rao was the chief guest, accompanied by the Head Mistress, Sri P. Syamala Rao, school staff, students, and Red Cross staff.

Respected Sir, Today Indian Red Cross Society, Srikakulam District Branch has conducted "Disaster Management Training" to the Youth Red Cross Volunteers of Top 7 Colleges in Srikakulam Town at Red Cross Skill Development Centre,Srikakulam.After completion of training formed one District Disaster Response Team with these Members.As part of training covered with Red Cross Movement and Disaster Management and Basic First Aid topics by Red Cross Resource Persons and Fire and Safety rescue operations by District Fire department of Srikakulam District 💐💐🙏

INDIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY , SRIKAKULAM DISTRICT BRANCH Weekly Report 11.08.2024 to 17.08.2024

1. i).Blood Units Collection: 59 Units Voluntarily at Red Cross Blood Donation Camps.

ii).Blood Units Issued: 97 Units (80 Units- PRBC,WB-10 Units PLT-7 Units ).

2. Food distributed to 2400 needy and poor persons in various places of Srikakulam.

3. 10 Units of Blood issued to Thalassemia Children for free of cost.

4. Other activities
i). Freezer Box provided to 8 needy people.

ii). Swargadhama Radham was provided to 2 dead person.

iii).Ambulance services utilised two patients.

5. IRCS, Srikakulam District Branch has been under gone services to Needy people under Free Medicine Bank.

6.Indian Red Cross Srikakulam District Branch visited and met Principals to Government Degree College Women and Men Srikakulam.Kakinada Aditya Degree College Women,Sri.Sivani College of Engineering and Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology College Srikakulam for Youth Red Cross Enrollment.

7.Indian Red Cross Society Srikakulam District Branch conducted International Youth Day & Anniversary of Geneva Conventions at Red Cross Vocational Training Centre, Srikakulam on 12th August-2024.

8.New Freezer box donated by The Family of Sri.Battula Venkata Rao Garu & Kusamba Garu to Indian Red Cross Society, Srikakulam District Branch on 17-08-2024.

9.IRCS, Srikakulam District Branch supports one poor patient Treatment and Medicine and transport in the Government Hospital, Srikakulam on 16-08-2024.

Independence celebrations were held in Srikakulam Indian Red Cross Society, Blood Centre. After unveiling the flag at the Red Cross premises, Chairman P. Jagan Mohan Rao said that due to the hard work of the martyrs, we got freedom, we are all the descendants of the martyrs, it is necessary to remember them and show patriotism by taking them as inspiration.He said that the backbone of the country is the farmer and the guardian of the country is the jawan, if there is no jawan or kisan, our survival will end, so let's stick to the slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan. He said that the thirty two services of the Indian Red Cross will be continued continuously and the Red Cross will be there for anyone who faces any obstacle. As part of this, Secretary Baliwada. Malleswara Rao, Treasurer K. Durga Srinivas, Vaikuntha Rao, Nikku Hari Satyanarayana, Kalyan spoke about the day. Afterwards Red Cross Auditor V. M. Rao and others were honored with shawl.Red Cross Staff and MC members also participated in the program.
