Dr Aziz did his MD in internal medicine from university of Kashmir followed by DM in medical oncology from Dr M G R Medical University, Chennai
He did fellowship in pediatric hematology oncology from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, US
He subsequently did UICC-fellowship in bone marrow transplantation at Imperial College-Hammersmith Hospital, London (under the supervision of L
ate Prof J M Goldman)
He is life member of American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Society of Medical Oncology, Indian Cancer Society and Indian Society of medical and pediatric oncology
He has published over 110 peer reviewed original articles in International and national journals; authored / co-authored 3 books and has been external examiner in DM courses for various premier institutions of the country
He is on the review panel on International journal of cancer, Lung India, Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism & Journal of Medical Sciences
Major achievements: He is a pioneer of the DM programme in Medical Oncology at SKIMS. Also, he started the bone marrow transplant programme at SKIMS.
