After a successful decade in the corporate world, Deepak Raj Tushir made the bold decision to leave behind his comfortable career and return to his hometown of Janti Khurd, Haryana. With a background in Computer Science Engineering and an MBA in IT, Deepak was thriving at Wipro, but he felt a deep desire to give back to his roots and uplift the farming community.
In 2012, he co-founded Binsar Farms alongside two New Zealand farmers and two computer engineers, aiming to merge technology with sustainable dairy farming. The vision was to leverage Deepakโs IT expertise to create a business that not only thrived but also empowered local farmers.
Starting with just 50 cattle, Binsar Farms faced its share of challenges, with only 35 surviving in the early days. However, Deepakโs innovative approachโintegrating technology and data analyticsโtransformed dairy farming operations. By using advanced data monitoring to track cow health and optimize milk production, Binsar Farms steadily grew into a pioneering force in the industry.
Today, the farm boasts over 450 high-yield cows, including HF, Jersey, and indigenous breeds. Specializing in A2 milk, it offers premium dairy products such as curd, ghee, paneer, and lassi. Through its dedicated app, customers can purchase fresh dairy products directly, with production scaling from just 10 liters per day to an impressive 7,000-8,000 liters daily.
Beyond dairy, Binsar Farms actively supports local farmers through contract farming, providing high-quality seeds, expert guidance, and access to lucrative crops. By introducing modern techniques like PMR feeding and DNA testing, the farm promotes sustainable agriculture while enhancing productivity. Currently, it manages 200 acres under contract farming, helping strengthen the local farming community.
With an annual revenue of โน223 crore and a strong profit margin of 5-6%, Binsar Farms has earned industry-wide recognition, receiving prestigious accolades such as the Agri Leadership Award and the Best Dairy Farming Award.
