Sometimes, healing begins when a doctor truly listens…
An elderly patient came to my clinic with severe electric current...like pain around the scapular region for the last 4 years. The pain had made his life miserable 😖. He had suffered silently for years, losing comfort, sleep, and peace.
I sat with him patiently, listened carefully to every detail, tried to understand what others may have overlooked, reached a probable diagnosis, and started only two properly chosen medicines from different classes.
Today, after just one week, the smile on his face said everything. His suffering had reduced dramatically. Moments like these remind us that medicine is not only about prescribing drugs .... it is about understanding pain, using knowledge wisely, and treating patients with sincerity and compassion.
What else should a doctor ask from Allah, when a suffering patient returns with relief, hope, and a smile?
