The torture that the office inflicts on its employees is being ignored and of course the consequences come back to the institution itself. But the institution does not think or talk about it. They just want you to work and nothing else, no matter how you are feeling.
Experiencing torture in the workplace can have devastating effects on your ability to work effectively. Constant fear, anxiety, and distress can make it difficult to focus, concentrate, and perform tasks efficiently, further hindering your productivity. Additionally, the toxic environment created by workplace torture can damage team dynamics, morale, and overall organizational culture, leading to decreased motivation and engagement among employees.
Indeed, it is the responsibility of the office to take care of these issues. They should create and enforce policies that promote a safe and respectful work environment, establish clear procedures for reporting and addressing complaints, and offer supportive resources for employees who have been affected or at least they can show an empathetic attitude. By taking proactive steps to address workplace torture, institutions can foster a culture of respect, trust, and well-being, which ultimately benefits both employees and the institution as a whole. But honestly no one can do that because they need just you to work for them that's it.

As mental health professionals, we frequently act as caretakers, offering assistance, guidance, and empathy to those who seek our help. Nevertheless, it's important to acknowledge that we also have emotions and vulnerabilities of our own as individuals.

Working in environments that impose relentless pressure, unrealistic expectations, or toxic dynamics can take a significant toll on our mental well-being. Despite our training and expertise, we are not immune to the effects of stress, burnout, or emotional exhaustion.

It's time to break the silence surrounding the mental health struggles faced by psychologists. We must acknowledge that our profession does not exempt us from experiencing anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges. In fact, the nature of our work may even exacerbate these issues at times.

From navigating the emotional intensity of client sessions to grappling with ethical dilemmas and organisational constraints, the demands placed on us can be overwhelming. Moreover, the stigma surrounding mental health within our field can make it difficult to seek help or admit when we are struggling.
But we cannot effectively support others if we neglect our own well-being. It's imperative that we prioritise self-care, set boundaries, talk for ourselves and cultivate a supportive network of colleagues and mentors. Seeking supervision, counselling, or therapy when needed is not a sign of weakness but rather a testament to our commitment to our profession and our own health.

Furthermore, we must advocate for systemic changes within our workplaces to promote a culture of well-being. This includes addressing issues such as excessive workloads, lack of resources, and inadequate support systems. We must prioritise creating a safe and respectful space for all employees. I believe in the strength of our community to stand together against any form of intimidation or coercion.

Let us come together as a community to destigmatize discussions around mental health among psychologists and create environments where we can openly acknowledge and address our struggles. By taking care of ourselves, we can continue to fulfil our vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of others.

People usually say that they are not satisfied with their lives despite having all the facilities they need. Many people report that they want to be happy but can't, why? Let me tell you that mostly the reason is that people compare themselves with others and social media is an extensive source, where people see others having luxurious lifestyles and so on.
Comparing oneself with others can indeed have a significant impact on our mental health and happiness. When we constantly compare ourselves to others, especially those who seem more successful, attractive, or accomplished, we may start developing a negative self-perception. This can lead to feelings of inferiority, low self-esteem, and even depression. It becomes challenging to appreciate our own strengths and accomplishments when we are constantly measuring ourselves against others.
Comparisons often involve unrealistic standards that we set for ourselves based on what we perceive others to be or have. This can create pressure and dissatisfaction as we strive to meet these unrealistic expectations. It's important to remember that everyone has their own unique journey and circumstances, and what works for someone else may not be applicable or suitable for us.
Comparing ourselves with others can breed jealousy and envy, particularly if we perceive others to have something we desire but lack ourselves. These emotions can be toxic and detrimental to our mental well-being, as they can lead to bitterness, resentment, and overall dissatisfaction with our own lives.
Constantly measuring our worth based on comparisons can distort our perception of ourselves. We may start associating our value solely with external factors such as appearance, wealth, or social status, instead of focusing on our inner qualities, personal growth, and overall happiness. This distorted self-worth can lead to a constant need for validation and approval from others, which can be exhausting and unfulfilling.
Comparison often leads to a lack of gratitude for what we have. When we only focus on what others possess or achieve, we tend to overlook our own blessings and the positive aspects of our lives. By constantly seeking more, we rarely take the time to appreciate what we already have, which can lead to a perpetual cycle of unhappiness and dissatisfaction. To protect our mental health and foster happiness, it is crucial to practice self-acceptance, appreciate our own journey, and focus on personal growth rather than comparing ourselves with others. Cultivating gratitude and recognizing our unique strengths and accomplishments can help us build a healthier mindset and enhance our overall well-being.

Every day, I make it a priority to acknowledge and be grateful for all the things in my life. This includes the love of my family and friends, the valuable opportunities and experiences that have made me who I am. It's important to take a moment and recognize the blessings in our lives and embrace the wonderful journey we are on. Remember unless we learn to appreciate what we already have, we won't be able to receive the things we want.

It is absolutely okay to feel low at times. As human beings, we all go through a wide range of emotions including sadness, anger, and disappointment. Feeling low can be a natural response to life's challenges, setbacks, or even for no apparent reason.
It is important to remember that emotions are a normal part of being human, and experiencing negative feelings doesn't make you weak or inadequate. Acknowledging and accepting these feelings without judgement is an essential aspect of emotional well-being. At the same time it's important to remember, if these low feelings persist or interfere with your daily life, seeking support from friends, family, or a mental health professional can be beneficial. A mental health professional can provide you with a supportive space to express your feelings and gain perspective.
Remember that it's okay to feel low, but it's equally important to acknowledge and validate your emotions. Don't be too hard on yourself during challenging times. Allowing yourself to go through the natural wane and flow of emotions is a part of being human. Remember, you are not alone, there are resources available to help you navigate through any difficulties you may face.

Supporting others is not only beneficial to them but also has a positive impact on our own mental health. Demonstrating kindness and empathy brings about positive emotions, lowers stress levels, and cultivates a sense of connection. By engaging in acts of support, we can create a rewarding and uplifting environment, ultimately improving our well-being and promoting a more positive perspective on life.
Refraining from causing harm through negative actions is crucial. If we are unable to assist someone, it is important to be conscious of our words and actions to prevent adding to their difficulties and challenges. By choosing kindness and empathy instead, we can alleviate further distress and contribute to a more positive and supportive atmosphere.
