Highlights of the Lecture:
🩺 Advances in Imaging:

PET/CT scans with FAPI offer higher sensitivity than FDG, especially for gastric and ovarian cancers.

FAPI PET/CT also shows promise in non-oncological applications.

🎗️ Cancer Management:

Breast cancer treatment is individualized, reflecting the shift from traditional chemotherapy (pre-1970s) to molecular and targeted therapies today.

📋 Treatment Guidelines:

Low-risk breast cancer: Hormonal therapy.

High-risk breast cancer: Chemotherapy.

Only ~25% of patients require chemotherapy.

Combination of endocrine therapy + chemotherapy improves survival.

Advanced breast cancer (Stage IV): Treated with tablets and targeted drugs, though side effects exist.

⏱️ Survival Outcomes:

First-line survival has improved significantly.

High-risk patients may now survive up to 5 years with appropriate treatment.
