Building confidence with every appointment 😊
Healthy smiles, happy patients!

Zirconia crowns are known for their strength, biocompatibility, and natural appearance, making them an excellent choice for both front and back teeth. They resist chipping and staining, and they can be color-matched to the surrounding teeth for a seamless look.

Regular dental cleaning helps prevent the progression of gum disease and supports overall oral health, reducing the risk of tooth loss in the long run.

We do not recommend very frequent professional cleaning & encourage patients to take steps to maintain oral hygiene at home but if you need us, we are happy to help.
Your smile is our concern 😊

Fusion occurs when two tooth buds join during development, resulting in a single, larger tooth.

Fusion typically occurs during the early developmental stages of the teeth, often before the person is even born.

Special care, such as using interdental brushes and paying extra attention to oral hygiene, is crucial to prevent cavities and gum disease around fused teeth.

Fused teeth often cause crowding because the tooth is larger.
Our patient, thankfully, had no complaints with the fused teeth and had ample space in the arch to accomodate the bulk. 😊

🦷 Tooth Trivia Tuesday! 🦷

Tooth enamel is the hardest substance in the human body 💪

It's incredible strength enables it to withstand the daily rigors of chewing, biting, and grinding.

However, despite its toughness, enamel can still be damaged by acids from food and drink, as well as from improper brushing techniques.

Unlike other tissues in your body, enamel cannot regenerate or repair itself, making good oral hygiene essential to preserving this vital protective layer.

Regular brushing, flossing, and dental checkups are crucial in maintaining the integrity of your enamel and ensuring a healthy, long-lasting smile. 😊

🦷 Tooth Tip Thursday! 🦷
Brushing your teeth correctly is essential for good oral health.

Today's tip: Brushing technique

-Hold your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to your gums.

-Gently move the brush in small, vibratory motions and sweep away from the gums.

-Brush the outer and inner surfaces of each tooth, making sure to reach the gum line.

-Brush the chewing surfaces of your teeth with back-and-forth strokes.

-Finish by brushing your tongue to remove bacteria and keep your breath fresh.

We love seeing our patients leave with more confidence than when they came in 😁
Although this is half the treatment done (see discoloration; non-vital post obturation build-up) we could clearly see that the patient was more confident and smiling after the procedure 😊

We'll keep you posted with the final results :)

Thinking about improving your smile? Come see us for our free check-up camp for a personalised treatment plan on the first Sunday of the month 😊

Did you know that regular dental check-ups are essential for maintaining a healthy smile?

Regular dental check-ups play a vital role in preventing dental problems, maintaining overall health, and ensuring a bright smile.

-Dentists can spot early signs of tooth decay, gum disease & oral cancer, which can be life-saving if detected early. Periodic cleanings help reduce bad breath caused by plaque buildup and bacteria.

-Preventive care like fluoride treatments (to strengthen teeth and prevent decay) and dental sealants can be applied to children's teeth to protect them from cavities.

-Poor oral health has been linked to heart disease. Regular dental visits help maintain oral hygiene, reducing this risk. Gum disease can make it harder to control blood sugar levels in diabetes making regular dental care very important for diabetics.

-Regular check-ups can prevent the need for costly and time-consuming treatments by catching problems early.

-Dentists provide tailored advice on proper brushing, flossing techniques, and dietary choices. Your oral healthcare provider can also help address harmful habits like teeth grinding or nail biting.

Don't wait until it hurts! Schedule your next check-up with your dentist today and keep your smile shining bright. ✨

Plaque build-up can lead to tooth decay and gum disease.
Daily flossing is highly recommended as it removes plaque and food particles under the gumline and between your teeth.

Floss like a boss 😎

- Start with 18-24 inches of floss. Wind the ends of the floss around each middle finger, leave an inch or two of floss to work with. Hold the floss tautly between your thumb and index finger.

- Gently slide it up-and-down between your teeth curving the floss around the base of each tooth. Make sure to go beneath the gumline.

- Use clean sections of floss as you move from tooth to tooth. Do not force the floss as this may cut or bruise your gum tissue. To remove the floss, use the same back-and-forth motion to bring the floss up and away from the teeth.
