We're looking for interns for an upcoming, exciting project.
GPD is looking for a biomedical intern to join our team. Our company is working on exciting new developments, and will offer a solid education to interns. This internship is ideal for a student looking to gain experience in the Health IT field, particularly in EHR development. You will get to work on the development of an EHR system - from its design to deployment and learn concepts of health IT and informatics. You will be interacting with doctors, software developers and patients to develop a system to deliver better patient care. You will also have the unique opportunity to collaborate with students from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Informatics program. This is a very exciting opportunity for a young biomedical engineer and we look forward to working with the intern hired as they grow their skills in our company and learn to apply the theoretical knowledge into a practical context. This is a paid internship based in Mumbai.
Responsibilities
● Needs analysis - interact with doctors to understand their information needs
● Interact with Software development team to communicate doctor’s needs
● Make project status reports, conduct Literature and systematic reviews
● Assist in day-to-day managerial activities such as scheduling meetings, follow ups, etc.
● Time Commitment: 8-10 hours a week. Flexible schedule
● Duration: 3-6 months depending on completion of project
Qualifications/Skills
● Graduate / Final year student in Biomedical Engineering / IT
● Knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Good organisation and management skills
● Must be self motivated and resourceful
● Must have a strong desire to learn and an interest in Health IT
