another incident of targeted attacks on minorities in Jammu and Kashmir, a Hindu school teacher was fired at by terrorists in the Kulgam district of the Kashmir region.
36-year-old Rajni Bala of Samba in the Jammu region sustained injuries when terrorists fired at her in the Gopalpora area of Kulgam where she was posted as a teacher, police said. She was critically injured and rushed to the hospital where she died.
A much loved teacher, she'd routinely travel interiors of Kulgam to teach under-privileged Kashmiri children and never discriminated between Hindu & Muslim.
The Kashmir Zone police said that "terrorists involved in this gruesome terror crime will be soon identified & neutralised." The police also added that the area has been cordoned off and further details shall follow soon.
As of now, no outfit has taken the responsibility for the murder. There has been a stir amongst the government employees in Jammu and Kashmir following the recent cases of murders of government servants.
On May 25, militants shot dead a TV artiste outside her home in the Hushroo area of Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district. Her 10-year-old nephew was injured in the shooting.
Just a day before, a police constable was shot dead outside his house in Soura area of Srinagar. His 7-year-old daughter was injured in the attack.
On May 13, another police constable Riyaz Ahmed was killed at his residence in Pulwama.
And just a day before, terrorists killed a government employee Rahul Bhat at his office in Chadoor area of Budgam, sparking protests by the Kashmiri Pandit employees.
