JanDaksha Trust

JanDaksha Trust JanDaksha Trust is a human rights organization striving to empower marginalized migrant workers, particularly women, in slums surrounding Udaipur, India.

We are a Non-Government organization dedicated to better the basic amenities of Women Migrant-Labors in the District city of Udaipur, Rajasthan. Organization was registered in 2007 under the Section 42 of the Rajasthan Trust and Society Registration Act (1959). One shouldn't forget the labor behind any majestic beautiful monument other than the nature have provided. These majestic monuments have had the fortune of being shaped by beauty but unfortunate is their efforts don't get recognized. What one immediately sees is the beauty of place and any place would always have the dying voice of labors. We took charge of appreciating their work, we want to thank you for their hard-work, we want to thank them for making our lives better by helping them in getting their basic rights. We work for labors so that they continue to work. When one talks of labour immediately in mind pops-up the image of a man working under the scorching sun. Unfortunately that is not the case women labor workforce has rampantly increased in the last decade but government has not been doing much to provide them the basic facilities of social security, health, water, education and safety. A whole family gets involved in a profession if a women gets engaged in the labor, directly or indirectly. Her health is directly connected to the child's health and family's economy. Through its center "Shramik Sahayta Evam Sandarbha Kendra". 11,352 migrant labors have been registered in the organization and gets constant support from us.

Can you spot one politician in this picture?
These are farmers protesting at Nashik, Maharashtra.
Last year saw the most farmer suicides in the state. These poor souls fear they won't survive the drought ahead so they decided to gather at Nashik Bus Depot and are protesting silently instead. The sad bit, not many newspapers will report this (farmers killing themselves is old news anyway). No one will do anything for them (the poor don't have a voice so they can't be heard or seen). The central government has launched an app for farmers (which is sad and hysterical at the same time, they should launch one for acid victims too because it makes the same amount of sense). I, honestly, don't know what else I can do except share this picture and rant because these farmers are the hands that feed us. These are our countrymen and they are being eradicated by a pogrom of governmental incompetence and carelessness. I hope many people share this image and add their thoughts too so our government knows that we, the people, are watching...
We are watching what they are doing for us and what they are not.
WE ARE NOT 'SHEEPLE' LIKE OUR FATHERS AND GRANDFATHERS!
We are united in our voice for the greater good of our society, our nation, our future.

People! Let's amplify the voice of our farmers whose throats have been choked, till now, by the rope of neglect.

'Like' this page (Voice Of Ram) for unbiased views on news!

Thank you Suresh Nakhate for the pic.

The Indian Constitution guarantees equality under the law. But for women facing a patriarchal social order, strict caste rules and centuries of traditions, that guarantee means little.
