ADRCA had conducted One Day Capacity Building Training for the Functionaries (Owners) of De-addiction cm Rehabilitation Centres of Kamrup Metropolitan District under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan on 10th Nov,2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Training Hall of Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment, Lakhi Mandir, Beltola, Guwahati-28. Sri Ratul Day, ADRCA had generated the session as Resource Person on behalf of ADRCA.

31.08.23 - International Overdose Awareness Day programme organised by the State Anti-Drug and Prohibition Council in collaboration with the Association of Drug Rehabilitation Centres of Assam at the NERIM Group of Institutions in Guwahati. Hon’ble Minister Srjt Pijush Hazarika addressed the program as the chief guest including officials from MoSJE and other Govt departments. Here, ADRCA participated in the programme actively with individual sharing by Dipanka Khataniar, Amrit Baishya, Sidhatha Pratim Dutta and Ratul Dey. Further a Short Play on Drug Overdose had been performed by ADRCA members which was appreciated by the house. Our heartiest thanks to all members and officials for ge successful operation of the programme.

On 15.08.2023 – General Meeting of ADRCA held with set agenda and Sri Sidhrtha Pratim Dutta has been selected as Advisor/ADRCA and Sri Karan Das being elected as Vice President/ADRCA. Further, Sri Jitu Buragohain, Vice Chairperson/ State Anti Drug Prohibition Council attended the meeting as Chief Guest and encourage all the members of the association with his inspiring speech. In his speech, Sri Jitu Buragohain made it apparent that just having a rehab in operation is not enough; rather, the rehabilitation in question must work to make the whole neighborhood drug-free. Sri Buragohain went on to say that ADRCA will play a significant role in the future under the Council and in the effort to make Assam drug-free.

26.07.2023- ADRCA met Hon’ble Minister/ MoSJE/ Srjt Pijush Hazarika and had highlighted ongoing challenges duly faced by the Rehabs. Certain matters related to upcoming SOP is well discussed and it is an immense pleasure to know that the Government is acknowledging our issues and assured us with proper anticipation in coming days.
Our vote of thanks to Honourable Minister and Chairperson of the State Anti-Drug and
Prohibition Council Smt. Mridula Barkakati, Vice Chairman Shri Jitu Borgohain, Principal Secretary of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department Shri Mukesh Chandra Sahu, Director Shri Kishore Thakuria for making the meeting a success.
