Just like you wouldn’t ignore a nagging pain in your body or a fever that refuses to go down, it’s important to treat your mental body with the same concern and respect.

It’s not the ‘insane’ that come in for Therapy. Regular people, from all walks of life, come in, to decode the puzzle that is the human existence. I’ve met with doctors, civil servants, models, engineers, teachers, performers - all wonderful, bright humans, who carry stories of love and pain within them.

Talking to someone is a sign of great courage and responsibility towards your own self.

Reach out. Break the stigma. Therapy works. I’ve seen it time and again.

Have you ever been in Therapy? Drop a “Yes” to dissolve the stigma for another human who may be on the fence about it :)

Take out some time to nurture the ultimate relationship in your life: the one that you share with your own mind.

The happier and healthier your brain is, the more nourished and relaxed it feels, the healthier you will feel overall.

On this Rakhi, my wish for everyone reading this is a life of immunity and protection against Mental Health disorders. May you be surrounded by love, peace and joy. It’s time we form a deeply nourishing bond with our own minds and dissolve the stigma around seeking help.

Happy Rakshabandhan :)

Love,
Saumya

As a Therapist who has struggled with depression herself, I get just how challenging the disorder can be. However, here is some good news:

Just like you can build immunity towards infections of the body, you can build “resilience” and “emotional immunity” towards disorders of the mind, granted you seek the right support and training.

While medications may be necessary for certain cases (and there is no harm in seeking help in that case), a vast majority of people can recover just through therapy and lifestyle changes.

So yes, seek Medication if you require it but also look at the things you can (and ideally, must) do to improve and maintain your mental health, naturally.

Did this help? Drop “Yes” in the comments and let me know :)

Each therapeutic container has only 4 seats and is open “only” to those who feel truly committed to levelling up emotionally and spiritually. The present ones are booked out and the next one begins in April. Are you feeling ready to level up? Drop a Yes to let me know :)

I hear you. It’s not easy. We are constantly bombarded with the ideas of “having more” and “chasing one pleasurable thing after another”. In Buddhism, this is known as the “Suffering of Suffering” - the constant loop of wanting to “feel good” which keeps you hopping from one thing to another.

Drop a “Yes” if this post resonated with you and you would like to keep learning.

Both Spirituality and Neuroscience point to this truth:

Pleasure is not happiness.

It entraps you initially and the more you chase it, the more unsettled your mind and energetic body gets.

Want to learn more? I take you through a Step by step process in the “Therapeutic Meditation container” to help you move from Suffering to Serenity - meant only for those who are serious about their transformation. DM “Calm” to learn more.

Till then, I’ll see you in the next post.

Drop a ❤️ if this made sense to you.

The “pull and tug” technique is one of my favourite tools to ground and bring myself back to the moment, when life feels too overwhelming or all consuming.

You can also do this before you take a shower and before you go to bed. Using a little bit of herbal oil can make it even more relaxing.

If this helped, tag a loved one in the comments.

See you in the next post :)

Drop a ❤️ if this post resonated with you.

It’s that time of the year again - the cold winds have started blowing again and everything starts seeming duller than usual.

SAD or Seasonal affective depression is more common than you would believe. While I would refrain from self diagnosing, If you feel like you struggle with this as well (I most certainly do) I hope the post helps you.

Drop “Class” in the comments section to receive details about the upcoming sessions.

A regular Meditation practice has more benefits than you can possibly imagine. Practitioners in a recent study noticed a 60% reduction in their levels of anxiety and a 120% increase in their levels of productivity. And this is only after a few weeks of consistent practice.

I have had a steady Meditation practice for over a decade now and the benefits continue to amuse me every single day. From improved focus to better relationships, healing of old emotional wounds to intentional, healthy weight loss - I have used the practice in more ways than one.

This post talks about only 3 of the many such benefits that Meditation has to offer, and no, you don’t need to belong to a particular religion to learn how to Meditate. It is a completely secular, safe practice and is an excellent tool for training the mind and forming a deeper relationship with yourself.

Ready to begin your journey? Write to me :)
