🍊🍉🍋The fact remains that fruits are super healthy, but does that mean we can eat them liberally.. ??
👀 Let's take a closer look, Fruits contain vitamins, minerals, fibre and high amount of fruit sugar that is fructose. Fructose gets digested as glucose which gets absorbed in the blood stream faster. Also fruits have almost no proteins and fats which makes them easier to digest.
So knowing the facts ,following are the recommendations to eat fruits
✅️Fruits can be eaten at any time of the day. But best time is to eat them in the morning or as midmeals but make sure to pair them with high protein snacks like nuts, seeds, chana etc
✅️ If you are prediabetic, fruit sugar can spike yiur blood sugar if eaten in excess
✅️Fruits also have calories and fast absorbing ones, so if you are someone trying to lose weight, watch yiur fruit intake. Fruits like kiwi, oranges, strawberries, guava are low in calories whole Mangoes, Banana, Chikoo are high in sugars and calories
✅️General recommendation is about 2 servings per day of fruits.
🤷♀️Lastly , all said and done, fruits always remain the best choice when compared to sugary and salty munchies for your midmeal hunger😊
