Torsion of o***y with Unani composition
An unmarried female of 14 years of age came with complaints of severe abdominal pain ,vertigo with heavy me**es since 5 months. She got treatment from various hospitals as well as general practitioners of allopathic as well as Unani but not got relief in pain. After blood investigations, USG and CT scan. USG findings was right adnexal mass of size 4.0x3.5cm with thick wall and other solid appearing hypoechoic component ,size being approx.. 7.2 x5.7 cm. loculated ovarian with one component showing haemmorhage /torsion. At the end she got no result and advised for oophorectomy due to pain (torsion). They refused for surgical procedure. After that she came to me with these complaints and after one month of treatment she got the result with most important relief in pain, torsion is resolved with improvement in other symptoms also. USG findings after one month of Unani treatment was most likely ovarian cyst ? .She was treated with a polyherbal formulation comprises of tukhm-e-kasni, Darchini,aloe vera , chob zard for one month.
