Stem cell therapy, HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy), and MeRT are often promoted for autism, but they are not standard, evidence based autism treatments at this time.

Government health regulators and national medical boards have not approved or recommended these as routine treatments for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) because benefits are not consistently proven and the risks and long term effects are still unclear.

Before considering any such option, ask for credible evidence, safety details and qualified medical oversight and always make an informed decision.

In some cases, as a child with ADHD grows older, hyperactivity may start to decrease. This can happen because, with age and support, the child gradually learns better self control and regulation.

ADHD does not mean an IQ deficit. Many children have normal cognitive functioning, but still struggle with impulsivity, attention and activity level.

Sometimes, when a child is actively trying to “control” their hyperactivity, frustration can increase. This may show up as irritability, mood swings or emotional outbursts.

Many parents worry if bottle feeding is okay, especially when a child is a selective eater and milk feels like the only safe option.

Milk is important in early infancy. But as children grow, they also need to learn chewing, drinking from a cup, and eating solid foods. Prolonged bottle feeding can limit oral motor development, encourage soothing habits, and reduce intake of other nutrients like fiber, iron, and zinc.

In general, bottle feeding should be gradually reduced between 1.5 to 2 years, while encouraging solids and cup drinking, based on the child’s readiness.

Every child with Autism Spectrum Disorder is unique. Early identification and timely intervention play a crucial role in supporting development, communication and daily functioning. While autism is not a disease to be ‘cured,’ appropriate therapies and consistent support can help children reach their full potential.

When traveling or going out, parents often worry about how to avoid packaged foods completely. The focus should not be on perfection, but on awareness and choices.

First think: is the snack really needed, or are we giving it just to keep the child busy? Most packed snacks are given between meals. For those small gaps, carry easy options like cut fruits, roasted makhana, nuts, or simple homemade snacks.

Small changes, done regularly, make a big difference.

From a behavioral perspective, drop off crying is usually not stubbornness. It is separation anxiety, and it is common in many children.
As parents and therapists, our job is to build safety first, then do distancing slowly over time. It cannot be forced in one day.
General awareness only. Every child is different.

When parents begin therapy for their child with autism, they often show great enthusiasm at first. However, this enthusiasm tends to wane over time. This is natural from a behavioural perspective. We should remember that therapy takes time to produce results so patience is key. Parents should be aware that this process will take time and they need to be patient.

Milk alone does not directly cause constipation. But if a child is filling up mainly on milk, they may not eat enough fiber rich foods or drink enough water, which can lead to constipation.

What helps: reduce excess milk, increase fiber (fruits, vegetables, whole foods), and improve hydration. If constipation continues or becomes severe, please consult a pediatrician. Some children start holding stools because passing hard stools feels painful, which can create a cycle that needs medical support.

General awareness only. For persistent constipation, get professional advice.

“Virtual Autism” is a common term people use for delays that can happen when a child gets too much screen time. It is not an official medical diagnosis.

For some children, when screen time is reduced and real interaction increases (talking, play, therapy, social exposure), skills can improve a lot over time, and sometimes the concerns reduce significantly.

But in the beginning, you cannot be sure whether it is Virtual Autism or Classic Autism. So the right step is: treat it seriously, start support early, and watch progress over the next few months.

Therapy is not a one-session solution. It is a structured approach.

Professional sessions provide direction, but meaningful progress depends on consistent implementation at home through routine, clear boundaries, and daily practice. The focus is long-term improvement in behavior, communication, and functional independence.

When the same method is followed every day, the child starts understanding what to expect, what is expected of them, and how to respond. This reduces daily struggles and builds stability over time. Treat therapy as a system you learn and run at home, not only a session you attend.

Dairy is not automatically stopped for all children on the autism spectrum.

Dairy (casein) and gluten are usually removed only when a child shows ongoing digestive issues like frequent indigestion, chronic constipation, diarrhea, or repeated vomiting. In such cases, an elimination diet may be tried based on detailed case history and professional guidance.

If dairy is removed, proper substitutes must be added. Milk provides important protein, calcium, and nutrients needed for growth and brain development. Removing it without alternatives can lead to nutritional deficiencies.

Elimination should always go hand in hand with substitution, not removal alone.
