Did you know that allergies can develop at any age, even if you haven't previously experienced any allergic reactions?

💚It's not uncommon for adults to suddenly develop allergies to substances they were previously unaffected by. This phenomenon is known as adult-onset allergies.

💚The reasons behind adult-onset allergies can vary. These include changes in the immune system over time, exposure to new allergens in the environment, lifestyle changes, or even genetic predisposition.

💚 So, even if you've never had allergies before, it's essential to be aware of any new symptoms that might arise, as they could be related to allergic reactions.

Comment 💚 if you have ever experienced an allergy.

On World Asthma Day 2023, let's talk about common environmental triggers of asthma.

~Allergens such as dust mites, pollen, and mold.

~Air pollution from sources such as traffic, industry, and wildfires.

~To***co smoke, including secondhand smoke.

~Household chemicals and cleaning products.

~Cockroach allergens, pet dander, cold air, viral infections, exercise, strong odors, wood smoke, weather changes, food additives, and stress.

To reduce your exposure to these triggers, it's important to take proactive steps such as maintaining good indoor air quality, avoiding smoking and secondhand smoke, using natural cleaning products, and practicing stress-reduction techniques. If you have asthma, it's also important to work closely with your healthcare provider to manage your symptoms and ensure that you have access to the medications and treatments you need to stay healthy
