A day to remember! 🫶🏻Our team embarked on an incredible picnic that left us all feeling rejuvenated.

Not only did we enjoy playing cricket and engaging in the classic game of "dog and the bone, but also joyfully splashed water at each other and peacefully floated in the serene river.🤩
Just when we thought the day couldn't possibly get any better, the delightful aroma of homemade food filled the air. The food itself was a divine experience, adding the perfect finishing touch to our already incredible day.🍱🥘🍫
Of course, we made sure to capture these amazing moments, preserving not only the fun and adventure but also the deep connections we formed as a team📸🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

Naukasana comes from the two Sanskrit words 'nauka' which means 'boat' and 'asana' meaning 'posture' or 'seat'. It is a posture in which our body assumes the shape of a boat. This asana is good for those who wish to reduce belly fat as well as tone their abs. Although this asana is a little difficult to perform for yoga beginners, but slowly with practise, one can ace this pose entirely!

World Cancer Day is observed on 4th February to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.

As per World Health Organization, ‘Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally, accounting for an estimated 9.6 million deaths, or one in six deaths, in 2018’.

Along with conventional care, Yoga and Ayurveda are well-known adjunct therapies that help in managing this deadly disease.

According to integrative medicine specialist and Yoga therapy consultant Dr. Shivaji Chobe, “As per recent studies, daily yoga practice reduces the survival potential of cancer stem cells in the human body. Also, growth of cancerous tumours slows down through regular yoga practice.”

He further adds, “Yoga therapy helps to reduce the side effects of the chemo and radiotherapy given to the patients during the treatment. Yoga also aids in healing the body, mind, and spirit in the midst of the cancer battle.”

"Yogah Chitta Vritti Nirodhah” -
These Sanskrit words trace back to the yoga sutras written by Patanjali (an Indian sage and notable scholar) and form the foundational purpose of Yoga. It means ‘Yoga is stilling the fluctuations of the mind’.

‘Chitta' is consciousness, ‘Vritti’ is fluctuations, and ‘Nirodhah’ is to control or to quieten.

During the practice of yoga, we experience the phenomenon of ‘chitta vritti nirodhah’, and as a result, our so-called ‘monkey mind’ gets immersed in complete serenity and quietness.

Patanjali further explains that through dedicated practice and cultivation of detachment, we will be able to stop identifying with the thoughts, feelings and sensations, which are the reasons for emotional pain. Once we reach this stage, we experience our ‘true self’.

In essence, Yoga makes us unite with our inner, real self!
