I am grateful to the National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA) OBGY Society Central for giving me this golden opportunity to coordinate this extraordinary National Silver Jubilee Webinar on "Infertility associated with Endometriosis" which will be conducted by none other than one of the pioneer of Integrative medicine in Ayurveda Dr. H. S. Palep. The one whose book (pic 2) "Scientific Foundation of Ayurveda" -I have been fortunate enough to read, in which he has interpreted Ayurvedic concepts and Ayurvedic research in terms of the language understood by modern medicine. He has tried to interpret the Ayurvedic concepts in the light of the knowledge gained from modern medicine using the vocabulary of current life science.

Dr. H. S. Palep sir graduated in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from the renowned R. A. Podar Medical College (Ayurvedic), Mumbai in 1962. Thereafter he completed MBBS and MD in Modern Obstetrics and Gynecology from the prestigious Grant Medical College, Mumbai in 1973. He held the post of Hon. Professor at Grant Medical College and also part time Professor at R. A. Podar Medical College for more than two and half decades. He has been a teacher and examiner for undergraduates and postgraduate courses in the specialty of Obst. & Gyn. in both Modern Medicine and Ayurveda at Mumbai University over three decades. He is the only recognized teacher at the Mumbai University in both Modern Medicine and Ayurveda Faculties. He is a renowned gynaecological surgeon, an eminent obstetrician and infertility specialist. Currently he is the National Professor and visiting scientist to Haffkine's institute of research & testing, Parel, Mumbai.

It's an absolute pleasure and honour to host someone you admire and have been following their work and ideologies such as new knowledge can be assimilated without demolishing existing Ayurvedic concepts. 🙏🏼

Pregnancy is the most celebrated phase of a women's life. But do you know you can make it more beautiful by optimising women's health through Preconceptional Counselling.
The goal of preconception care is health education and promotion, risk assessment, and intervention before pregnancy to reduce the chances of poor perinatal outcomes.
Unplanned and unintended pregnancy results in late prenatal care which can subsequently contribute to adverse events during pregnancy and poor perinatal outcomes. Both the woman and man must be assessed for risks and educated about the risks associated with poor perinatal outcomes. This risk assessment must include evaluation of overall well-being, medical history, surgical risks, social and behavioral risks, medication risks, occupational risks, education risks, and any other barriers that may pose an undue risk to fertility or pregnancy.
