While they are nice for some, periods are a disaster for many! 😟

Either way, food is the one comfort that we all need and that works 😋

There are times when we crave for absolutely everything and there are times when we feel so heavy and full that we don't feel like eating anything. There are times when you are fine and then there are times when you feel down as ever.

In a nutshell, it is anyway suggested to take a healthy and wholesome diet, but it is more important to take care of it when on your period! 🌸

Folic acid is a type of folate that everyone needs, especially women. On the off chance that you can get pregnant or are pregnant, folic acid is particularly significant.

For women before and during pregnancy. Folic acid helps to protect unborn children against serious birth defects called neural tube defects. These birth defects happen in the first few weeks of pregnancy, often before a woman knows that she is pregnant. Folic acid might also help prevent other types of birth defects and early pregnancy loss (miscarriage). To keep the blood healthy by helping red blood cells form and grow. Not getting enough folic corrosive can prompt a kind of frailty called folate-deficiency anemia. Folate-deficiency anemia is more common in women of childbearing age than in men.

You can get folic acid from nutrients and from above mentioned food items. Folate is tracked down normally in food varieties like verdant green vegetables, oranges, and beans.

Studies show that folic acid has also been suggested to reduce your risk of:

~ Pregnancy complications
~ Heart disease
~ Stroke
~ Some types of cancers
~ Alzheimer’s disease

However, consuming a variety of healthy foods, such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, as well as fortified foods, is an easy way to increase your folate intake!

Ever wondered what those tiny bumps around your ni***es are?

These small bumps on or around the ar**la are known as ‘Montgomery glands’ and they are completely normal. These bumps secrete oil (produced by glands beneath the skin) that helps lubricate the ar**la and ni**le during pregnancy and lactation.

The secreted oil also has antibacterial properties, and research has suggested that infants may even detect the smell of the secretions, directing them to the breast to latch onto for feeding. The number of bumps varies from person to person. Some may have just a few, while others may have dozens.

However, it's best advised to leave these bumps alone as they're nothing to worry about. But if you do find an inflamed bump or a bump that's painful it's a sign that a gland is infected or clogged and you need to get it checked by your Healthcare provider 🧑🏻‍⚕️
