The Thought Co. Focuses on spreading mental health awareness Our team consists of Clinical Psychologists, Counsellors and psychotherapists. The Thought Co. to do just that!

Academic pursuits, tireless internships and finally our own private practice; through our years in the field of psychology, as students and now Clinical Psychologists, our experiences are varied. However, a common thread that binds us together, to form The Thought Co., is the lack of reliable and accurate information on mental health. During our extensive training that spanned across the United Ki

ngdom and in India we noticed a strong contrast in our country’s approach to mental health care. This lack of acceptance and awareness has fueled our passion and provided wheels to our drive ‘to ensure individual’s who seek mental health care treatment receive it from well-trained and well-informed professionals’ – an area that requires more focus from our country. stands for many things, de-stigmatisation of mental health, ensuring individuals receive proper mental health care, creating a platform where aspiring mental health professionals can be guided and above all ensuring reliable information on mental health is always available. Currently, in our infancy stage, The Thought Co. works towards its larger goals through a (www.thethoughtco.com) where reliable posts on mental health, mental disorders, recognising signs and symptoms and academic opportunities are regularly posted. Our intention, also reflected in our first project Mental Health Awareness Weekend, is to create an open platform where individuals, not from the mental health field, can be educated on mental health. We feel the key to de-stigmatisation of mental health is if individuals are always given reliable information on mental health. Hence, we have come together to form The Thought Co.

“But I meant well.”
Ever used that line? Or been on the receiving end of it?

Intentions matter. But they don’t undo harm.
In this week’s blog, we’re unpacking what happens when emotional accountability feels like betrayal—and why owning your impact is the most grown-up form of love there is.

It’s not a call-out. It’s a call-in.
To show up, take responsibility, and stop outsourcing our discomfort onto the people who stay.

When Priya moved cities for love, she didn’t expect to lose herself in the process.
No one talks about how lonely relocation can be. How your identity softens at the edges. How “starting over” sounds exciting—until it actually starts.

This week’s story is about a quiet unraveling. And the even quieter rebuild.
If you’ve ever left a life behind and wondered who you are without it—this one’s for you.

You’re not fragile. You’re rebuilding strength.
Resilience isn’t about pretending things are okay. It’s about pausing without quitting. About leaning on people. About facing the hard things, without losing yourself in them.

This week on the blog, we’re unpacking how to move through adversity with clarity and care—so you don’t just survive it, you grow from it.

I didn’t expect Marvel’s Thunderbolts to feel like a therapy session.
But between the action and the chaos, it quietly captured what it means to live with guilt, shame, and the shadows we keep avoiding.

We all scroll.
We all numb.
We all run from parts of ourselves that hurt.

But what if healing isn’t about fighting harder?
What if it’s about letting others stand with you in the dark?

This isn’t a superhero post.
It’s a human one.

Swipe through.

Let’s try this:
Before next week starts, do a small emotional reset.

📓 Open your deck or journal.
✍🏽 Write one thing that’s still on your mind from this week.
💛 Let it go, or carry it gently forward.

It’s not a ritual. It’s a rhythm.

Tag a friend you’d love to reset with.

Sometimes what we label as “too much”…
is actually someone trying to get a need met in the only way they know how.

Needs ≠ weakness.
Needs ≠ drama.
Needs = human.

What need are you learning to own?

Self-doubt can be loud.
But self-trust? It’s quieter—and stronger.

You don’t need to become a “new you.”
You just need the tools to meet yourself with clarity, kindness, and consistency.

Tag someone on this journey with you.

You are not a project to be perfected.
You’re a person to be loved—especially by yourself.

Some days, the work is just showing up.
No need to fix. Just meet yourself gently.

When every headline feels like a siren and every anchor sounds like urgency, it’s not just news anymore—it’s theatre. And your nervous system? It’s the stage.
This isn’t just the weight of what’s happening.
It’s the weight of how it’s being told.
The news is supposed to inform—not inflame.
Exaggerated language, fear-based framing, and ethical erosion aren’t just signs of irresponsible journalism. They’re direct threats to our collective mental health.

📍In the comments, share your go-to non-sensational, fact-checked sources of news. Let’s build a community of informed calm.
