I spent 30 days testing every Monday hack I could find.

Reddit threads, YouTube deep dives, Twitter threads, you name it.

Only one method stuck and it changed how I lead my entire week.

It starts on Sunday night, not Monday morning.

Momentum begins the day before the week does.

I block 30 minutes every Sunday evening

I open my calendar and my goals

I ask: “What does a successful Friday look like?”

Then I do a “mental download.”

Get everything out of my head, no matter how small.

Tasks
Loose ends
Random ideas

It clears mental fog and creates clarity fast.

Then I sort my list into three buckets:

Needles → High-impact, priority moves
Noodles → Important but flexible
Noise → Distractions disguised as work

If I only move the needles, the week’s already a win.

Finally, I schedule buffer blocks.
Because no plan survives Monday’s chaos.

30-minute windows between meetings
1-hour “recovery zone” in the afternoon

Space to think, not just react

The result?

I don’t start Mondays sprinting, I start orchestrating.

This one reset buys back 10+ hours every week.

What’s your Monday ritual look like now?

I’ve built a system that helps you do this in just 15 minutes a day for 5 days.

Being productive is overrated.

There, I said it.

We’ve glamorized “getting things done” so much that we’ve stopped asking why we’re doing them in the first place.

And honestly? I’m fine with that statement.

Because the goal of leadership isn’t just to keep busy, it’s to drive real change

Productivity is about output.
Proactivity is about impact.

Here’s why I believe proactivity is the real power move for leaders:

Productivity often rewards speed. Proactivity rewards clarity.

Productive people finish tasks.
Proactive people decide which tasks matter.

Productivity thrives on checklists. Proactivity thrives on decision-making.

Productive leaders feel efficient. Proactive leaders create momentum.

It’s time for a new paradigm: Proactive Leadership.

Proactive leaders don’t start their day with a to-do list.
They start it with an intention.

They don’t get caught in the whirlwind of meetings.
They architect the agenda that shapes them.

They don’t rush toward deadlines.
They create strategic timelines that serve the vision.

They don’t say “yes” out of habit.
They pause and choose from a place of power.

And here’s what sets them apart:

They make thinking time non-negotiable.
They treat priorities like gold.
They use frameworks to make decisions faster.
They aren’t afraid to slow down to speed up.

This mindset isn’t a trend. It’s the upgrade.

Because the next level of leadership doesn’t come from doing more.

It comes from doing what actually matters on purpose.

Curious where your productivity ends and proactivity begins?

Start by looking at your last 5 decisions.

Were they urgent?
Or
Were they intentional?

I studied 8 peak performers.

Not one of them uses a traditional to-do list.

Here’s what they do instead and how it helps them move fast on what matters.

- They prioritize outcomes, not activities.
- They focus on 3 high-leverage actions per day, the ones that actually move the needle.
- They review progress weekly, not just cross off daily tasks.

The result?

✅ More clarity
✅ Less mental clutter
✅ Faster ex*****on on what truly matters

If your to-do list feels endless but your progress feels slow,
It’s not a productivity problem.
It’s a prioritization problem.

Simplify your day. Amplify your impact.

P.S. Want a simple 5-step framework to ditch the to-do list and still get more done?

I audited 14 of my most stressful weeks.

Turns out, 90% of the pressure came from things I didn’t plan for.

Reactive work became my daily norm.
I knew I had to change the way I planned.

Here’s the simple system I built to stop reacting, and start getting ahead.

1. I block time for unexpected tasks.
This keeps surprises from derailing my day.

2. Set aside 1 hour daily for urgent issues.
Use this time only when needed.
If unused, roll it into creative work.

3. I plan my day in three parts.
This brings clarity and flexibility.

- Morning for top priorities.
- Midday for meetings and calls.
- Afternoon for unexpected work and wrap-up.

4. I review tomorrow’s plan every evening.
This prepares me and reduces stress.

Note any possible obstacles.
Adjust tasks to fit new info.
Sleep better knowing I’m ready.

Planning this way cut my stress by half.
It lets me work ahead instead of chasing fires.

In 2018, I had a sticky note on my desk that said “Get more done.”

It was supposed to keep me focused.
Instead, it kept me trapped.
I was buried in meetings.
Emails.
Slack pings.
"Quick asks" that were never quick.

I told myself I was being productive. But truthfully, I was just being… busy.
Overwhelmed.
Depleted.
Constantly reacting to everything, except what actually mattered.

All the typical emotions that come with chasing productivity for the sake of it.

One night, after working 12 hours and still feeling like I hadn’t moved the needle, I snapped.

I decided to rethink everything.
Because I realized: Productivity is about doing more.
But Proactivity is about doing what matters.

Before that shift, I had seasons where I:
— Started the day without a plan
— Said yes out of guilt or fear
— Confused speed with strategy

This is why I talk about proactivity now.

Because no one teaches you how to lead your time with intention.
And yet it’s the skill that separates managers from leaders.
Busy professionals from legacy builders.

I want you to succeed.
To lead with clarity.
To build something that lasts, without burning out.

I now help professionals master proactivity.
And I’m proud to say I’ve helped 80K+ people reclaim time, energy, and control.
But it wasn’t easy.
I had to relearn how to think.
Slow down to move forward.
Unlearn the badge of busyness.

I learned I’m capable of more when I choose less.
And so are you.
Never doubt yourself.
Busy isn’t your identity, it’s just a habit.

Change it.
Lead different.

Dreams do come true, sometimes in places you’ve only imagined.

I am deeply humbled and thrilled to share that I will be speaking at the Maldives Professional Speakers Summit (MPSS). Grateful to professional speakers association - MPSA ExCo and for the opportunity to serve the community.

My session is titled:

🎤 “𝘽𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨: 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙐𝙨𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙑𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙚, 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙡𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙩.”

For me, this isn’t just about the techniques of speaking. It’s about the deeper belief that our voices carry the power to shift perspectives, touch hearts, and spark change.

As I prepare, I feel both grateful and excited.

Grateful because every opportunity to share is also an opportunity to learn. I am honored to share the stage with such distinguished speakers.

Excited because, together, we’ll explore how the voice, when used with authenticity and intention, goes beyond words to create a true connection.

Many say Tim Ferriss is the productivity guru of our time.

But what actually launched his journey?

Running a supplement business.

He built and operated "BrainQUICKEN" his personal lab for radical time-management.

His early clients?

• Silicon Valley executives
• Venture capitalists
• Startup founders

His most famous work?

The 4-Hour Workweek.

That book wasn’t theory.

It was based on real experiments he ran automating his business and cutting his workweek down to 4 hours.

Eventually:

• He sold the supplement company
• But not before it became a living case study of productivity in action

Most know the book.

Few realize the business behind it proved every principle.

What did that hidden work reveal?

That productivity isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing less but better.

Tim’s story shows radical focus, ruthless prioritization, and smart systems free up massive time.

Today, his influence is everywhere:

• Millions use his methods—time blocking, outsourcing, batching
• Startups to Fortune 500s embrace “Ferriss-style” productivity
• It’s a cultural phenomenon for escaping burnout and designing work lives

All because he ran a messy, overloaded business and figured out how to win.

📌 This story proves the best productivity systems come from experimenting where you are.

By running BrainQUICKEN, Tim:

• Mastered ruthless prioritization
• Leveraged time like a pro
• Detached emotionally from busyness

Want to shift from reactive busyness to proactive productivity?

I wasted years chasing false productivity. Busy was mistaken for progress. Here is the number one lesson I wish I had learned in my twenties.

Focus on your energy not your time

Energy fuels work far better than hours spent

- Notice when your energy peaks and schedule important work then
- Avoid draining tasks when energy is low
- Protect your energy with boundaries around distractions

Respect your limits to unlock true productivity

Break big projects into small daily steps

Small consistent actions create momentum

- Avoid overwhelm by starting tiny
- Celebrate each small win
- Build habits that last

Check in with yourself regularly

Reflection helps you adjust and grow

- Identify what drains your energy
- Drop what does not serve you
- Reinforce what works

Mastering energy beats working longer hours

Your results depend on how you manage your fuel not your clock

Everyone’s obsessed with waking up early. But no one’s asking what they’re actually doing with those extra hours. That’s the real gap.

You can wake up at 6 and scroll Instagram till 8. Or roll out at noon and own the next 6 hours.

The goal isn’t early. The goal is intentional.

Here’s what actually helped:

Plan tomorrow the night before
Keep my phone outside the bedroom
Set a “start work” alarm, not just a “wake up” one
Stop judging myself for starting late, as long as I show up fully

Turns out, the clock doesn’t make you productive. Your choices do.

Still… maybe I’ll aim for 10:30 AM next week.

What’s the funniest productivity promise you’ve ever broken?
