Mansplaining semen analysis because nobody actually explains what these numbers mean.

A semen analysis report has three numbers that tell us almost everything about male fertility. Here is what they actually mean:

S***m Count: 43 Million/ml
→ Normal is above 16 million per ml
→ This tells us how many s***m are available to reach the egg
→ More isn’t always better, quality matters just as much

Motility: 50%
→ This is how many s***m are actually moving
→ Normal is above 40%
→ Even a high count means nothing if the s***m aren’t moving well enough to reach the egg

Morphology: 5%
→ This is the shape of the s***m
→ Only perfectly formed s***m can fertilise an egg effectively
→ Normal is 4% and above so 5% is within range

Three numbers. One report. But this is just the surface.
A standard semen analysis does not test s***m DNA fragmentation, the quality of the genetic material inside the s***m. A report can look completely normal and still leave questions unanswered.

If your reports are normal but conception isn’t happening there is more to look at. Come talk to us.

Louise Brown.

Supplements

Heat avoid करा:
→ Laptop
→ Tight underclothes, saunas, hot baths

“Can I still go on my holiday if I’m doing IVF?”

Most people expect the answer to be no. It isn’t but it does come with a plan.

Here is what actually matters:

→ During stimulation daily injections need to be maintained at the right temperature and monitored closely. This phase needs you close to the clinic. Travel during this window needs to be discussed with your doctor in advance.

→ Between cycles: A change of scenery, time with your partner, rest, all of it genuinely helps. Short distance or adjoining city travel is usually completely fine.

→ After transfer: give yourself that two week window before any international travel. It is not a long time when you think about what you are working towards.
IVF and life are not opposites. You do not have to press pause on everything you love to go through this journey.

You can plan your holiday. You can plan your cycle. You just need a doctor who helps you do both thoughtfully.

Come talk to us at Xenith IVF. We will plan it with you.

If you have been told IVF is your only option, this one is for you.

Because we hear this every single day. Women who walked into a clinic, heard those words, and walked out feeling like their bodies had already failed them.
It hadn’t.

At 38, your fertility story is not over. It is not even close to over. But it does deserve a doctor who looks further than the obvious answer.

Before IVF is recommended, there are questions that should be asked. Tests that should be run. Numbers that should be explained not just quoted at you.
Because IVF is a remarkable option. But it should be the right option for you, not just the quickest one to suggest.

You deserve a second opinion. You deserve a full picture. You deserve a doctor who sits with you long enough to actually understand your story.
38 is not a full stop. It is just a number.

At Xenith IVF, we look at everything before we decide anything.

You planned everything: the venue, the outfits, the honeymoon destination.

But there’s one conversation most couples never have before they start their journey together.
We see this often. Couples who get married at 28, settle in, start trying at 30 and walk into the clinic at 34, discovering a simple, fixable issue that could have been found years earlier. Not because something was wrong. Just because nobody told them to check.

This is not about fear. This is about walking into your marriage with a complete picture.

For her, an AMH test, TSH, FSH, LH, Vitamin D, insulin levels, and a pelvic scan.
One appointment. A full picture of where you stand.

For him, a semen analysis.
Simple, quick, and incredibly informative.

Because information is the greatest gift you can give your future self. Plan the honeymoon. But plan the future too.

Earth Day 2025.
And the environmental conversation nobody is including fertility in.
BPA in your water bottle mimics oestrogen in your body.
Pesticides on your produce are quietly reducing s***m count.
PM2.5 in your city’s air is linked to lower AMH in Indian women.
Forever chemicals in your cookware are connected to PCOS and endometriosis.
Your environment is not your fault.
But it is a factor. A real one. And one that most fertility conversations completely ignore.
The good news is that small switches make a real difference.
Glass over plastic. Cast iron over non-stick. Washed produce. Filtered water. An air purifier at home.

Not perfection. Just informed choices. 💛

Save this. Share this on Earth Day with someone who needs to see it.

Your embryo was transferred 5 days ago. Your body already knows something you don’t.

The two week wait is one of the hardest parts of IVF. Every cramp, every twinge, every wave of tiredness your mind is reading into all of it. So let’s talk about what is actually happening inside your body, day by day.

What your body may be doing after embryo transfer:

✅ Day 1–3 — The embryo is floating in the uterine cavity, finding its spot. Mild cramping or a heavy feeling in the lower abdomen is common and completely normal.
✅ Day 4–6 — Implantation begins. Light bloating, breast tenderness and unusual fatigue are your body responding to the progesterone support and the early implantation process.
✅ Day 7–10 — Light pink or brown spotting may appear. This is often implantation bleeding, a sign the embryo is burrowing into the uterine lining. Do not panic.
✅ Day 8–12 — Frequent urination, heightened emotions, food aversions. HCG is beginning to rise and your body is starting to shift.
✅ Day 10–14 — Nausea, dizziness, heightened smell sensitivity. These are early pregnancy signals but not guarantees.

The one thing most people don’t talk about:
Progesterone itself causes many of these symptoms. Which means symptoms do not always equal success, and no symptoms do not always equal failure. Your body and someone else’s body will respond completely differently to the same transfer.
The only truth is in your beta HCG blood test.

Everything before that is your body doing its job. Let it.

Save this. Share it with someone in their two week wait.

Questions about your journey? Drop them in the comments.

The simplest fertility habit is also the most ignored one.

You’re doing everything right. The supplements. The cycle tracking. The clean eating.
But if you’re not drinking enough water, you’re leaving results on the table. Especially in this heat. 🌞

Here’s what dehydration is quietly doing to your fertility:
→ Cervical mucus thickens- making it harder for s***m to reach the egg
→ Uterine lining thins- making implantation harder
→ S***m volume and motility drop in men
→ Hormonal balance gets disrupted- affecting ovulation

Drink your water. Your body is working hard; help it along.

The whole internet is talking about Ozempic. Nobody is talking about what insulin resistance is doing to your fertility. Until now.

Insulin resistance is not just a weight loss conversation.
It is one of the biggest and most silent drivers of infertility in India right now.

In women:
-Drives PCOS
-Disrupts ovulation
-Damages egg quality
-Causes irregular cycles

In men:
- Reduces testosterone
- Lowers s***m quality
- Increases DNA fragmentation

And over 70% of Indians have some degree of insulin resistance.
No symptoms.
No diagnosis.
No treatment.
Just unexplained infertility.
Here is the truth
There is no such thing as unexplained infertility.
There is only unfound infertility.
One fasting insulin test.
One number.
That could explain everything you have been told has no answer.

Save this. Share this with anyone who has been told “everything looks normal.”
