Indian Particle Education Research and Therapy Academy. The IPERTA is a organization dedicated to spread knowledge and to development of particle therapy in India. Main Aims of IPERTA are:
.To develop education program for training doctors, scientists, physicists and technologists in field of particle physics and radiation therapy and increase awareness of this modality amongst professionals.
.To organize CME programs and conferences to increase awareness of medical professionals and physicists in this field.
.To establish a particle therapy centre solely or in collaboration with industry or government and bring state-of-the-art highest quality cancer therapy to patients from all walks of life, with emphasis to children and poor patients.
.To collaborate with industry and educational institutes, for development of fundamental research in field of particle radio-physics.
.To develop radiobiology program to study effects of radiation with protons and ions and develop methods for better outcome of radiation therapy.
.To involve industry for use of this technology, for better utilization of accelerators and technology transfer.
