They were told it wasn’t their place
in the field, the noise, the spotlight.
It was meant for those who belonged.
But they showed up anyway.
With bruised knees and borrowed kits,
they played when no one watched,
celebrated in silence,
and when the world said stop,
They kept running.
Today, those same girls stand
at the centre of the world
not just winning, but rewriting
what strength looks like.
Because sport was never owned by anyone.
And Zidd never learned a gender.
