Happy to share the launch of our creation: *PREASY ("Writing PRESCRIPTION made EASY"),* an android app for dentists to make prescriptions with precise dosages for children, was launched by the legendary dentist Dr Sandesh Mayekar, in a function at Sea Princess, Juhu, Mumbai on 30th April, 2022. It's now available on Google Playstore.
This app has an in-built calculator for calculating dosages of drugs for children. It also makes a prescription ready to share in various ways. PREASY makes prescriptions three times faster, and with more accuracy than the handwritten prescriptions! PREASY is thus an 'easy' choice for a 'busy' dentist!

*PREASY works in four quick steps:*
Step 1: Register as the Dentist.
Step 2: Enter the patient details.
Step 3: Select medicines (PREASY will calculate dosages as per the weight of the child).
Step 4: Generate and share the prescription.

*Success Story so far:*
1. Research based on PREASY APP received partial funding from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, Pune.
2. Research based on PREASY APP was published in a peer reviewed international journal: Kamath et al: Comparison of Dentist Preference towards Software Based Versus Handwritten Prescriptions in Pediatric Dental Patients- A Mixed Methods Study. JPRI, 33(41A): 41-49, 2021.
3. A paper by Dr Shamika Kamath at the Conference of South Asian Association of Pediatric Dentistry in Pune (December 2021) won a joint third prize in Faculty presentations.
