નવજીવનની ગાથા: "જટિલ બીમારીઓ વચ્ચે ETEP ટેકનિકથી હર્નિયા પર વિજય"

આ કેસ છે 70 વર્ષના એક એવા હિંમતવાન દાદાની, જેઓ લાંબા સમયથી ગંભીર શારીરિક તકલીફો સામે લડી રહ્યા હતા. તેમનું શરીર માત્ર વધતી ઉંમર જ નહીં, પણ મોરબિડ ઓબેસિટી (અતિશય વજન), ડાયાબિટીસ, અને હૃદયરોગ જેવી ગંભીર બીમારીઓથી ઘેરાયેલું હતું.
તેમની સ્થિતિ ત્યારે વધુ ગંભીર બની જ્યારે તેમને પેટના ભાગે મલ્ટિપલ વેન્ટ્રલ ઓબ્સ્ટ્રક્ટેડ હર્નિયા (પેટના આંતરડા તથા આંતરડા નો પડદો ફસાઈ જવા) અને સાથે inguinal હર્નિયા (સાથળ-પેઢું ના ભાગે હર્નિયા) હોવાનું નિદાન થયું. આટલી બધી બીમારીઓ અને હૃદયની નબળાઈને કારણે ઓપરેશન કરવું એ કોઈપણ સર્જન માટે એક મોટો પડકાર હતો. પરંપરાગત ઓપન સર્જરીમાં મોટા ચીરા મૂકવા પડે, જેમાં ઇન્ફેક્શન અને લોહી વહેવાનું જોખમ ખૂબ વધારે હતું.
ETEP RS ટેકનિક: આધુનિક વિજ્ઞાનનો ચમત્કાર છે,આ જટિલ પરિસ્થિતિમાં ડો વિજયરાજ ગોહિલ તથા અન્ય ડોક્ટરોની ટીમે ETEP RS (Enhanced-view Totally Extraperitoneal Rives-Stoppa) નામની અદ્યતન લેપ્રોસ્કોપિક પદ્ધતિ પસંદ કરી. ETEP ટેકનિકની સૌથી મોટી વિશેષતા એ છે કે તેમાં પેટના સ્નાયુઓના પડની વચ્ચેની જગ્યાનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવે છે. આ ટેકનિકથી સર્જને પેટના ઉપરના ભાગના હર્નિયા (Ventral) અને નીચેના ભાગના હર્નિયા (Inguinal) - બંનેને એક જ ઓપરેશનમાં અને માત્ર નાના છિદ્રો દ્વારા ઠીક કર્યા.
* હૃદય અને ડાયાબિટીસનું જોખમ ઘટ્યું: ઓપન સર્જરીની સરખામણીએ આમાં દુખાવો ઓછો થયો અને રિકવરી ઝડપી આવી, જે હૃદયના દર્દી માટે અત્યંત જરૂરી હતું.

આ ઓપરેશન ની સફળતાના ત્રણ સ્તંભો હતા જેમ કે
* નિષ્ણાત સર્જનની ક્ષમતા: ETEP એ અત્યંત કૌશલ્ય માંગી લેતી સર્જરી છે. સર્જનની વર્ષોની મહેનત અને ઝીણવટભરી કામગીરીને કારણે જટિલ હોવા છતાં સર્જરી સફળ રહી. બિમ્સ હોસ્પિટલ ના ડો વિજયરાજ ગોહિલ આ પ્રકાર ના કોમ્પ્લેક્ષ હર્નિયા ની એડવાન્સ લેપ્રોસકોપીક સર્જરી ના નિષ્ણાત છે.
* અદ્યતન સર્જિકલ સુવિધાઓ: હાઇ-ડેફિનેશન (HD) કેમેરા સિસ્ટમ અને અદ્યતન એનસ્થેસિયા મોનિટરિંગને કારણે 70 વર્ષના દર્દીની સલામતી સુનિશ્ચિત થઈ શકી.
* ટીમ વર્ક: સર્જન, કાર્ડિયોલોજિસ્ટ , icu ટીમ અને ડાયાબિટોલોજિસ્ટની સંયુક્ત મહેનતે ઓપરેશન દરમિયાન અને પછીના જોખમોને શૂન્ય કરી દીધા.

પરિણામ: એક નવું અને પીડામુક્ત જીવન. ઓપરેશનના બીજા જ દિવસે દાદા ચાલતા થયા! જે હર્નિયા તેમના જીવન માટે જોખમરૂપ હતા, તે હવે અદ્યતન ટેકનિકને કારણે ભૂતકાળ બની ગયા છે. ડાયાબિટીસ અને હૃદયની તકલીફ હોવા છતાં, કોઈ પણ મોટા ચીરા વગર તેઓ આજે સ્વસ્થ છે.
