Nutrition should always be a priority, but when you’re having a baby it becomes even more important. The right post pregnancy diet helps your body recover, and gives you the energy you need to care for your little one and yourself.

The postpartum period begins after the delivery of your baby, and ends when your body has nearly returned to its pre-pregnancy state. Postnatal care involves self care to rebuild your strength, sufficient rest, and proper nourishment.

Becoming a mother is one of the most significant physical, psychological and physiology transformation of a woman's life.
Its time to start treating it that way!!!

AND Anxiety during pregnancy is common.
High levels of anxiety, during pregnancy, have adverse effect on mother and baby.

Anxiety, in early pregnancy, results in loss of fetus and in the second and the third trimester leads to a decrease in birth weight.

Tips to alleviate the symptoms

-Engage in regular physical activity.

Engaging in activities that help to lower stress and anxiety may be a good option for you. Physical activity helps your body release endorphins. These act like natural painkillers in your brain. Moving your body is one of the most recommended ways to manage stress.

Effective activities include:

• walking

• running

• yoga

-Ensure adequate sleep.

It’s important to make sure you’re getting enough sleep. making it a priority may help significantly with your anxiety symptoms.

-Practice mindfulness.

Research shows that mindfulness may reduce worries about labor, and it may even prevent postpartum depression.

-massage, meditation, and acupuncture.

Finding relaxation techniques that work for you may take some experimentation — but their benefits will continue even after the baby arrives.

-Empower yourself

Tokophobia is the fear of childbirth. If your anxiety is tied to childbirth itself, consider signing up for a birth class. Learning about the different stages of labor, what your body does, and what to expect.

You wouldn’t run a climb a mountain without training for it.

Delivering a baby should be the same way.

A common misconception is that pregnancy is for resting and eating for two - Let's change that.

Unlike climbing a mountain, you don’t need to spend hours training your body to be able to deliver healthily.

Practicing a few simple exercises and techniques can help relieve pain and discomfort and prepare your body to bring a child into the world.

Like climbers have coaches, you don’t have to train alone.

A physical therapist or prenatal health expert can help you remain more comfortable during pregnancy and labor, as well as prevent potential health issues down the line.

Lucky for you, I am both - A physiotherapist and prenatal fitness expert, DM me for any inquiries.
