Thankam Gomez just completed a wonderful course on Stress First Aid for Healthcare Workers through Coursera, offered by Duke University. It was truly an eye-opening experience.

As healthcare professionals, we are often so immersed in our own responsibilities that we may overlook the silent struggles of our peers. This course has equipped me with the essential tools to recognize and respond to stress and emotional distress in the workplace.

I now feel confident and motivated to offer in-person Stress First Aid training for nurses, tailored to the Indian healthcare setting. I’ll be designing a customized intervention based on the principles I’ve learned and will share more details once the program is ready.

Together, let’s create safer, more compassionate, and resilient healthcare teams.
