*في قلب الوطن، حيث يمتزج التاريخ بالمعرفة، تواصل جامعة بغداد أداء رسالتها العريقة كأكبر وأقدم صرح أكاديمي في العراق والمنطقة.
فهي لم تكن يوماً مجرد مؤسسة تعليمية، بل كانت ولا تزال رمزاً للعلم،وحاضنةً لأجيال من العلماء والباحثين.
نثمن نحن في كلية الطب -جامعة بغداد وبكل فخر الدور الريادي الذي تنهض به جامعة بغداد، الجامعة الأم، بما تمثله من رمز أكاديمي عريق ومرجعية علمية وطنية، تسهم على مدى عقود في بناء العقول وصناعة المعرفة.
كما نُشيد بالدعم الكبير الذي تقدمه وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، وجهودها الواضحة في تعزيز مبادئ الرصانة العلمية، وتطوير منظومة التعليم العالي بما ينسجم مع المعايير الدولية، وبما يعكس صورة مشرقة عن الجامعات العراقية في المحافل العالمية.
وفي ظل هذا التقدم الملحوظ، نؤكد على ضرورة عدم الانجرار خلف المعلومات المغلوطة أو التصنيفات غير الموثوقة التي تُنشر دون أساس علمي، أو خلف أصوات تحاول عبثاً النيل من سمعة المؤسسات الأكاديمية العراقية.
وفي هذا السياق، وفي رحاب شهر محرم الحرام، نستحضر الذكرى الخالدة لاستشهاد الإمام الحسين عليه السلام، ثورة الوعي والإصلاح، ومأثرة الوقوف بوجه الباطل والانحراف مهما عظمت التضحيات.
إن ما تركته تلك الثورة من دروس في الثبات على المبادئ ورفض التضليل، يمثل اليوم نبراساً تهتدي به المؤسسات العلمية في أداء رسالتها، وصون مكانتها، والدفاع عن مصداقيتها.
ستبقى جامعاتنا، وفي مقدمتها جامعة بغداد، مؤسسات علمية رصينة، تنظر إلى الأمام بثقة، وتُسهم بفاعلية في بناء عراق معرفي يليق بتاريخه وحضارته.

The University of Baghdad has never been merely an educational institution — it has always been and remains a beacon of science, a cradle nurturing generations of physicians and scholars.
The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad takes pride in representing the pioneering role of the university — a role that embodies an academic legacy with profound scientific and national credibility extending over decades, in service of intellect and the advancement of knowledge.
We reaffirm, with utmost clarity and conviction, our alignment with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its ongoing efforts to implement clear, unified standards for institutional performance evaluation and academic accreditation across Iraqi universities and colleges.
In this context, we reject all forms of misinformation, biased interpretations, or subjective classifications that lack objectivity and scientific foundation. We also express deep concern over anonymous voices attempting to distort the image of Iraqi academic institutions.
In the sacred month of Muharram, as we commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), we recall his timeless message of reform and his courageous stand against injustice and deviation — a legacy filled with immense sacrifice and unwavering principles.
From that great revolution, we draw lessons in steadfastness, moral clarity, and rejection of humiliation. Today, it is imperative for academic institutions to uphold these principles with integrity and courage in expressing their stance and defending their credibility.
Let us stand united, each from their respective position, to protect our institutions and build a knowledge-based Iraq — one that befits our rich history and civilization.
