Aran organization for developing civil culture
Aran is a non- governmental organization has been founded in 2013, the head office locates in Chamchamal district and registered based on the law in both KRG and Iraq. Organization vision
Aran has been founded based on the following visions:
Strengthening the trust of individuals in order to make them participate in the society development and civil culture. Developing the theory of dialogue and accepting the other
Advocate for peace and non-violence in general. Introducing human rights concepts to the society
Raising awareness about the rule of law and code among individuals
Promoting the culture of democracy
Strengthening the relation between the government and people
Raise awareness of people about their rights and duties. Aran believes in the idea of engaging, empowering the marginalized groups such as women and youth in the community in order to encourage them to ask for their rights, and break the silence about all the breaching that happen against them and achieve the following points:
The independency of law
Advocate of the freedom of speech
The access to the sources of information for NGOs, and Media
Protect the society safety and security

Campaigns of collecting signature
Visiting, meeting the authorities and stakeholders
Assisting in dialogues between government and people
Conducting questionnaires to show the satisfices of people about the government services
Arranging peaceful demonstrations
Humanitarian works:
Aran has a very good experience in the humanitarian field and has worked in different levels for the vulnerable groups such as women and youth as the following:
– Protection: working on protection for women and girls from sexual abuse
– GBV: providing psychosocial, health support to women and girls who are experiencing violence.
– reproductive health: providing guidance for pregnant about reproductive health
– collecting aids to help IDP families
– creating volunteer team and committees among IDP women and girls to provide PSS to other women and girls
