We are excited to announce the release of the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care: http://spr.ly/6189A73V1

The purpose of the guidelines is to provide best practice recommendations in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care. These guidelines are an update to the recommendations in the 2020 guidelines and provide new recommendations to topics where recommendations previously did not exist.

💙 The ERC - European Resuscitation Council is excited to announce the launch of the Guidelines on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation 2025, which will take place on October 22, 2025, in Rotterdam. This event is a collaborative effort between the European Resuscitation Council, the American Heart Association and the ILCOR.
❤️ We are pleased to present a comprehensive program that highlights the latest advancements in resuscitation science and applied practice. Over 200 experts in resuscitation science will gather in person to mark this momentous event: the simultaneous release of the CPR Guidelines of the ERC and AHA, presented by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).

Viva! è una campagna di sensibilizzazione che ha lo scopo di diffondere in Italia la conoscenza delle manovre di Rianimazione Cardiopolmonare (RCP). È nata nel 2013 grazie a un’iniziativa di Italian Resuscitation Council (IRC) che ha raccolto l’invito dell’Unione Europea e di European Resuscitation Council (ERC) coinvolgendo nel corso degli anni numerosi partner tra le istituzioni pubbliche, società scientifiche, associazioni di volontariato ed enti privati.

Dopo l’11 settembre, i cani da ricerca e soccorso lavorarono giorno e notte a Ground Zero.

Erano addestrati a trovare sopravvissuti nei disastri.

Ma tra le macerie del World Trade Center, c’erano pochissimi sopravvissuti da trovare.

Col passare dei giorni, i cani cominciarono a sembrare confusi. Alcuni caddero in depressione. Erano abituati a trovare persone. E adesso non succedeva più.

I conduttori se ne accorsero e decisero di intervenire.

A volte inscenavano falsi soccorsi.

Un pompiere o un conduttore si nascondeva tra le macerie. Il cane lo trovava. E loro si comportavano come se fosse stato un vero salvataggio.

Questo dava al cane un senso di successo. Risollevava il suo spirito.

Questi cani non stavano solo lavorando duramente. Erano colpiti anche emotivamente.

Facevano parte della squadra. E avevano bisogno di sostegno, proprio come tutti gli altri.
