Proud to have performed at the UOC Cardiology-UTIC of the P.O. of Ar**no Irpino Frangipane Bellizzi, percutaneous intervention to close 2 paravalvular Leaks on a 26 mm On-X mechanical aortic valve, already the site of endocarditis and percutaneous closure of a previous Leak. 2 rectangular Occlutech PLD occlusion devices were used. At the end of the procedure, the aortic insufficiency was eliminated.
All this was made possible thanks to my fantastic team of nurses, doctors (Dr. Di Gianni and Minichiello), Prof. E. Onorato of the Galeazzi Institute - Sant'Ambrogio of Milan, Prof. A. Totaro of UNIMOLISE, Dr. C. Sacra of Responsible, the Anesthetists led by Dr. G. Castellano.
Great example of a Joint-Venture between healthcare facilities of various types, crowned with total success.
