Restoring an icon isn't simply about preserving it, but about understanding its evolution over time to understand what it still has to say.
For the European headquarters of the Berggruen Institute at the Casa dei Tre Oci, NSTONE developed custom material solutions integrated into the existing architecture. This work, in deep synergy with designers, was also celebrated by the trade press on .
The project focuses:
- Vertical engineering: Faithfully reproducing the mix of aggregates, the cement-like tone, and the grain size of traditional Venetian terrazzo for cladding and furnishings.
- Architectural fluidity: A contemporary graft designed to ensure absolute visual continuity with the historic material.
The result is not a restoration. It's a conversation between centuries.

Restaurare un’icona non significa semplicemente conservarla, ma comprenderne l’evoluzione nel tempo per capire cosa ha ancora da raccontare.
Per la sede europea del Berggruen Institute alla Casa dei Tre Oci, NSTONE ha sviluppato soluzioni materiche custom integrate nell'architettura preesistente. Un lavoro di profonda sinergia con gli architetti, celebrato anche dalla stampa di settore su .
I focus dell'intervento:
-Ingegnerizzazione verticale: Riprodurre fedelmente il mix di graniglie, la tonalità cementizia e la scala granulometrica del terrazzo tradizionale veneziano per rivestimenti e arredi.
-Fluidità architettonica: Un innesto contemporaneo studiato per garantire continuità visiva assoluta con la materia storica.
Il risultato non è un restauro. È una conversazione tra secoli.

* 500: Il Terrazzo alla Veneziana era puro lusso. Pavimenti monumentali riservati solo alle grandi ville patrizie.
* Anni ‘50: Il mito si fa democratico con le classiche marmette di massa, piccole ed economiche.
* Oggi: C’è chi sceglie il Gres effetto terrazzo e chi cerca la vera materia.

This Terrazzo Decor with 6x3 tiles featuring the famous Scarpa motif combines the elegance of Botticino with the strength of Rosso Verona, creating a play of tiles that enhances every surface with character and sophistication.
IDEAL FOR NAVAL: In this particular project, the terrazzo is paired with a stoneware panel to achieve a reduced thickness of 16 mm.

Questo Terrazzo Decor con tessere 6x3 del famoso motivo Scarpa unisce l’eleganza del Botticino alla forza del Rosso Verona, creando un gioco di tessere che valorizza ogni superficie con carattere e raffinatezza.
IDEALE PER IL NAVALE: in questo particolare progetto il terrazzo è accoppiato ad un pannello in gres per ottenere lo spessore ridotto di 16 mm.

For this project, we developed a custom surface that enhances the transparency and openness of the space, drawing the eye and amplifying the perception of space.
Our Modena 12 created a seamless, precise, and textured floor, where performance and design meet without compromise.
The result is a completely custom Terrazzo alla Veneziana 3.0, designed to integrate with the architectural identity of the space.

Per questo progetto abbiamo sviluppato una superficie su misura capace di valorizzare la trasparenza e l’apertura dell’ambiente, accompagnando lo sguardo e amplificando la percezione dello spazio.
Il nostro Modena 12 ha permesso di ottenere un pavimento continuo, preciso e materico, dove performance e design si incontrano senza compromessi.
Il risultato è un Terrazzo alla Veneziana 3.0 completamente custom, progettato per integrarsi con l’identità architettonica del luogo.

In this space, Nstone interprets the bathroom as a place of character, with custom-made Terrazzo alla Veneziana 3.0 vanity tops, enhanced by clean lines and textured finishes.
The soft shapes of the sinks, combined with the seamless surface and attention to detail, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, shaping spaces that express a precise vision: elegance, authenticity, and quality.

In questo spazio, Nstone interpreta il bagno come luogo di carattere, attraverso piani lavabo su misura in Terrazzo alla Veneziana 3.0, valorizzati da linee essenziali e finiture materiche.
Le forme morbide dei lavabi, abbinate alla continuità del piano e alla cura dei dettagli, creano un’atmosfera calda e accogliente, dando forma a spazi che raccontano una visione precisa: eleganza, autenticità e qualità.

In this bathroom, the design is expressed through a refined balance between material and form. The Nstone 3.0 marble agglomerate surfaces cover the floors and walls, creating a seamless, dynamic and luminous effect that enhances the perception of space.
The material texture interacts with the clean lines of the washbasin and the lightness of the metal structure. The result is an essential yet sophisticated space, where functionality and aesthetics coexist in perfect harmony.

In questo ambiente bagno il design si esprime attraverso un equilibrio raffinato tra materia e forma. Le superfici in agglomerato di marmo Nstone 3.0 rivestono pavimenti e pareti creando un effetto continuo, dinamico e luminoso, capace di amplificare la percezione dello spazio.
La texture materica dialoga con la pulizia delle linee del lavabo e con la leggerezza della struttura metallica. Il risultato è uno spazio essenziale ma ricercato, dove funzionalità ed estetica convivono in perfetta armonia.
