Compact products such as sanitary pads and certain diaper types often present challenges during extraction from vertical chains, as their low height means they barely protrude beyond the side walls. This makes it difficult for the system to grip and transfer them effectively.

To resolve this, the Vire design team introduced a rake that slides between the vertical surfaces of the chain, lifting the products from below and directing them toward the next phase of the process.

This solution eliminates the need to replace the chain when handling low-profile items. The rake provides precise, consistent movement and adapts seamlessly to varying product heights, improving both efficiency and reliability in extraction.
