PATHOLOGY AND CLINICAL APPLICATION OF YIN AND YANG THEORY.
All pathogenic-factors can also be divided into Yin pathogens or Yang pathogens. Diseases caused by Yang pathogens usually present with heat symptoms, and diseases caused by Yin pathogens usually present with cold symptoms except for deficient -yin Which present with heat symptoms, and deficient -yang which present with cold symptoms. Basic treatment will be aimed at replenishing deficient condition.

From a clinical perspective the theory of Yin and Yang
is used to help determine the over-riding factors involved in a particular condition. A condition is most
likely to involve the Yin energies of the body if the problems are present or aggravated during evening.
Conditions such as insomnia and night sweats, for example are often Yin related conditions. If the symptoms occur during the day, the condition is more likely to be related to the Yang energies of the body.
Symptoms of Yang deficiency include fatigue, weakness and lethargy.

HEART MERIDIAN - HT Yin.
Originates at the heart and spreads over the heart system. It then passes through the diaphragm connecting with the small intestine.
This meridian runs alongside esophagus and connects with the eye system. The heart Meridian runs upward to the lung and goes down and out axilla at HT 1.

ACUPUNCTURE.
The intent of acupuncture therapy is to promote health and alleviate pain and suffering. It is a time tested part of oriental traditional medicine, of-which Chinese principle and theory stands tall.
The perspective in- which an Acupuncturist view health and sickness hinges on concepts of Qi ""vital energy" energetic balance and energetic imbalance.
Just as the orthodox Medical practitioner (Dr) check pause (breath), blood pressure so as to know how the blood flow through the blood vessels and the messages traveling via the nervous system. The acupuncturist assesses the flow and distribution of this "vital energy" within its partways known as "Meridians and channels"
The acupuncturist is able to influence health and sickness by stimulating certain areas along these " meridian". Traditionally, these area are called "acupoints." These points are scattered all over the body, and its being stimulated by fine needles.
These days, many additional forms of stimulation are incorporated, including herbs, hands, electro/magnet and laser. Still the aim is to adjust the "vital energy" so as to allow the proper amount of energy reaches the proper place as when due. This helps the body to heal itself.

EDEMA AND INFLAMMATION: Edema is the abnormal accumulation of fluid in the intercellular spaces. There are four main types; Inflammation Edema, Cardiac Edema, Lymphatic Edema and Renal edema.
INFLAMMATION EDEMA. Increased permeability of capillary walls that allows serum to exude into the tissues. This is a characteristic part of the acute inflammatory process and explains the swelling that occurs in inflammation. Chemical mediators produces in the inflammatory response increase the vascular permeability. Analogous direct chemical damage to vessels by exogenous factors such as cadmium and noxious gases can produce a similar change
RENAL EDEMA. A decrease in the osmotic pressure of plasma proteins will result in edema. If plasma proteins are lost as when albumin is excreted in the urine of patients with kidney disease Edema will result.
This type of Edema also accompanies certain nutritional or liver disorders in which the production of plasma proteins is reduced. And we should know that retention of sodium and water in renal disease is another factor that adds to renal edema.
