Dr. Luca Piombinois an internationally-accredited plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon. With more than 10 years of experience and education, he now runs a successful surgical practices in Rome area. When he is not working in his own clinic, he divides his time between the Netherlands and other country, where he helps to improve and boost the well-being and natural beauty of his patients at few leading European clinics.
The son of a plastic surgeon, Dr. Piombino inherited his father’s passion for aesthetics and surgery. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from Seconda Universita degli Studi di Napoli in Naples, Italy.
Graduating at the top of his class, he quickly received a residency in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery in Universita Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. Following the residency, he obtained a fellowship in Plastic Surgery, Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery in Universidad de Buenos Aires in Argentina where he continued to refine his specialty in plastic surgery.
Dr. Piombino continued his medical studies in the United States at the University of California Irvine, where he served as research associate for the department of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery. Over the course of his career, he has performed more than 1,200 certified reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgeries, all with outstanding outcomes.
His intuitional aesthetic brilliance, combined with a passion for pediatric plastic surgery and a specific focus on the cranio-facial area, has made him a leader in the treatment of specialized surgical cases involving children.
Actively involved in humanitarian surgical missions, Dr. Piombino has traveled extensively around the world providing treatments to trauma patients with oncological outcomesand congenital malformations. He was a volunteer in the Emergency Department at the S. Sebastiano Hospital in Italy and the Humanitarian Surgery Mission in Argentina and Paraguay for many consecutive years.
Dr. Piombino is an active member of several renowned plastic surgery societies all over the world. He is a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Plastic Surgery & Research Council, te SICPRE Italian Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and ASLMS American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery.
He is also an experienced leader in the field of laser surgical technology, giving trainings and supervision to many notable plastic surgeons.
