My experience of volunteering for the 21-day Classical Hatha Yoga program 🧘🏻‍♂️

This was actually the first program that I took in the ashram back in 2018. It was so transformational to the point that it made me decide to become a teacher the following year. The Classical Hatha yoga practices learnt here which I then practiced regularly at home, have completely transformed my body, mind and experience of life.

I always had this in my mind that I wanted to come back and contribute to all that I received and to be part of this process once again and was finally able to do it this year!
Not only being part of if, has allowed me to refine my teaching and organizational skills but most importantly, the process of holding someone else’s wellbeing above my own, completely giving myself to whatever was required, has dissolved a part of me leaving me deeply fulfilled.

It has been an humbling experience all around and I am deeply grateful for the oppurtunity offered.
I definitely plan to come back for more! ✨

It had been two years and a half since my last visit to the ashram so I decided it was about time to come back and what a decision that was..

I stayed for almost two months, partecipating in various programs like the silence and teaching upgrades held by the school yearly for certified hatha yoga teachers to enhance the quality of their sadhana and teaching. I was also able to partecipate in Samyama Sadhana which helped me refine my practice and led me to states of absolute clarity and abandon.

Least but not last, I volunteered for the 21-day hatha yoga program, which was a perfect cherry on the cake allowing me to dissolve even more, coupled with intense sadhana, burning the candle from both ends..But this one will talk about it a little more in another post..

I can say it has been a transformational two months for me, a turning point in many ways and an immense opportunity for growth which I will always cherish within me.
I feel truly blessed to have found this magical world of Isha and to be part of it ✨

Body like breeze ➵ Miracle of mind

Mind can only be stable if standing on a stable platform, the body. The mind can be considered like a software whereas the body the hardware. The software is subtle, more complex and sophisticated and therefore carries much more possibilities yet without a well functioning and stable hardware it goes to waste, may start glitching or even start working against its intended use. Similarly, the mind can become a miracle, otherwise it brings anxiety, stress and continuos struggle..

So how to create this stable platform and have our mind unfolding its infinite possibility, mantaining us in health and allowing us to experience the sweetness and blissfulness of our existence 𖦹

There are many aspects to this, but what we need essentially is for our machine to work in alignment with the rest of the existence, minimizing friction and bringing balance.

Some fundamental aspects that we are losing today which are extremely relevant and effective are the type of food we put into the machine: the objective here is to minimize the level of friction and maximising the level of integration. Another is the alignment with the movement of the planet: the maximum energy of the sun on the planet starts 2 hours before sunrise, it would be best to wake up and start our day at that time, to be more aligned and fully harness this energy ⚡︎

For geometric and energy alignment there are more sophisticated ways like yogic practices and kriyas. Or if you are new on this yogic path, a great way to start would be establish a daily meditation into your routine.

The geometry of the body 📐

When taking into consideration receptivity, beyond the signal emitter it is also important to consider what type of gadget one has to receive it properly. For example, even if you are in a 5G field, without having the right instrument attuned to that kind of frequency, you are not able to receive it or in the case of older televisions unless the antenna is perfectly oriented, the signal transmission does not happen.

During my first visit in Dhyanalinga years ago I had a very different body, at that time I had only started the journey, and my experience was of a certain kind. It was only after I started practicing classical hatha yoga classico that the experience in the temple became much more explosive. I realized that the energy was always there, what was changing was only my level of reception, and that the more aligned I was the more I was receiving..

After many years of practice, now I notice how the alignment of my body, beyond the evident benefits on the level of health, allows me to function at a completely different rythm making me willing and ready for every kind of activity. This daily alignment eliminates friction e also reduces the quantity of sleep needed propelling me towards an ever rising perception that allows me to navigate daily with least friction and maximum awareness💥

La geometria del corpo 📐

Quando si parla di ricettività, oltre all’emettitore del segnale è importante considerare che tipo di gadget si ha per riceverlo. Per esempio, anche se si è in un campo 5G, senza avere il giusto strumento affinato per quel tipo di frequenza, non si è in grado di ricevere o nel caso delle tv piú antiche, a meno che l’antenna non sia orientata esattamente verso il trasmettitore, il segnale non arriva.

Durante la mia prima visita al Dhyanalinga anni fa, avevo un corpo molto diverso, in quel momento avevo appena iniziato il percorso, e la mia esperienza fu di un certo tipo. Fu solo dopo aver iniziato a praticare l’hatha yoga classico che l’esperienza nel tempio iniziò a diventare molto piú esplosiva. Mi resi conto che l’energia era sempre li, cambiava solo il mio livello di ricezione, e che più allineato ero e più ricevevo..

Dopo tanti anni di pratica, ormai noto come l’allineamento del mio corpo, oltre agli evidenti benefici a livello di salute, mi permette di funzionare a tutto un altro ritmo, rendendomi propenso e pronto per ogni tipo di attività. Quest’allineamento giornaliero elimina frizione e diminuisce anche la necessità di sonno, proiettandomi verso una percezione sempre crescente che mi permette di navigare giornalmente con il minimo attrito e la massima consapevolezza 💥

Preparatory practices 🐈🐈

Before we start with our daily practices it is very important we work not only on our physical body but also on our energetic one.

In order to move our energy upwards it is very important that our spine is in a certain condition and that our energy system is in balance.

From a physical point of view: 🧘🏻‍♂️
Activating the root of the spine, the activity and development of the brain can be highly controlled and enhanced.
Furthermore these practices loosen up the limbs in such a way that we can sit comfortably with crossed legs, also increasing flexibility in the body.

From an energy point of view: they create a balance between the Ida and Pingala, the left and right side of our energy system, harmonizing it and bringing it to a state of balance so that when energy rise it will have a positive impact upon us ✨

Pratiche preparatorie 🐈🐈

Prima di iniziare le nostre pratiche quotidiane è molto importante lavorare non solo sulla nostra parte fisica ma anche su quella energetica.

Affinchè ci sia un spinta di energia verso l’alto è molto importante che la nostra spina dorsale sia in una certa condizione e che il nostro sistema energetico sia in equilibrio.

Da un punto di vista fisico: 🧘🏻‍♂️
Attivando la radice della spina dorsale, l’attività e lo sviluppo del cervello vengono altamente controllati e migliorati.
Inoltre queste pratiche allentano gli arti in modo tale che possiamo sederci comodamente con le gambe incrociate, aumentando anche la flessibilità nel corpo.

Da un punto di vista energetico invece creano equilibrio tra l’Ida e il Pingala, la parte sinistra e destra del nostro sistema energetico, armonizzando il sistema e portandolo in equilibrio cosí che quando l’aumento di energia avviene avrà un impatto positivo su di noi ✨

Sandhya Kalas - Moments of transition ☀️ 🌒

There are moments during the day in which it is easier to reach a state of inner balance.

These moments are:
•From 20 minutes before until 20 minutes after sunrise
•From 20 minutes before until 20 minutes after midday (sun at the highest point in the sky)
•From 20 minutes before until 20 minutes after sunset

Our energy system changes dominance from right to left and viceversa every 40 minutes during the day. But in these moments this change in dominance happens much more rapidly and it is because of this that doing the practices in these moments can enhance the impact of the same and help us reach a state of balance much more rapidly. There is an extra support from nature 🧘🏻‍♂️♾️

Ci sono dei momenti durante la giornata in cui è piú facile raggiungere una situazione di equilibrio interiore.

Questi momenti sono:
•Da 20 minuti prima fino a 20 minuti dopo l’alba
•Da 20 minuti prima fino a 20 minuti dopo mezzogiorno (sole nel punto più alto del cielo)
•Da 20 minuti prima fino a 20 minuti dopo il tramonto

Il nostro sistema energetico cambia dominanza da destra a sinistra e viceversa ogni 40 minuti nella giornata. Ma in questi momenti questo cambio di dominanza avviene molto piú rapidamente ed è per questo che fare le pratiche in questi momenti puó aumentare l’impatto delle stesse e farci raggiungere un equilibrio maggiore in minor tempo. C’è un supporto ulteriore dalla natura 🧘🏻‍♂️♾️
