Our connection to ourselves is based on our connection to our body.

"Who I am" is dependent on how I am as a body – I am my body, my body IS me. There's no escape. 🤷‍♀️

How we take care ourselves + the ability to feel our body determines our emotional capacity or space for other people.

If we are absent from our body, operating from speed, narrow focus, and protection, we are much less effective in our interactions with others.

The good news is we can create safety for our body by slowing down, toning the vagus nerve, and resetting the nervous system. 💪

A practice like TRE: Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises calms down our nervous system which offers gentle creation of safety and self- regulation.

By activating a natural shaking mechanism that's innate within us, we can connect to the body, be able to stay in the feeling state and our social and connection state. 🌱

My coach once asked me, what would happen to you if you love so much?

He then went on to answer, you'd be really happy.

When we're in fight/ fligh, it's so hard to connect with another human to a deep level. Let alone to love. ❤

We as mammals though are designed with wise innate body systems that can help us calm down by regulating the nervous system. How you feel triggered might not be under your control, how you take responsibility to do the inner work and go deep for you to love more is a present. You for you.

In this fast changing world, we all experience stress to different extents. We don't always have the control of the external factors. It's what happens within us and how we manage and regulate it that we can take responsibility for. 👊

⚡Yes it's true that traumas live in the body and it's important that we're aware of this and take responsibility to do something about it.

⚡It's also important to keep in mind that we do not need to limit the future by the past.

🌱 Our life is constantly changing. True we have lessons to learn. We can be open to all the exciting possibilities for change, both within and around us at the same time.

My ease is the habit of checking in with myself throughout the day.

I have the ⏰ set 4 times a day to help remind myself to do a little check-in with myself and feel into my body, my needs, my wants and my feelings. Being aware of my current state really makes a difference to make the here and now a peaceful place. ✨
