I wanted to post this earlier… but Easter is special and we spent it going to church… having a nice traditional Easter meal and spending time with family and friends ❤️

Everyone is asking if are doing OK over here in Italy with all the rain and flooding...
Well...we are kind of blocked in... roads are falling in and mud and rockslides are covering the roads, but they’re slowly slowly just today starting to get things put together ...the road between here and Alberona completely crashed in. There’s only one lane. It was a place that was cracked before and they fixed it and now the part next to it broke. 🤦🏻‍♀️ We are almost totally isolated... But sometimes you gotta hit rock bottom for someone to finally see you. I think the province and region are getting involved now too... Let's pray!

You entered this world only to be blessed with a direct passage to heaven. You’ll never have to know the suffering of this earthly life… only we will feel the lack of you in our lives.
Finally after one year I assembled the flowers that your Mamma and Zia already have… everlasting flowers… as you are everlasting in our hearts.

I can’t quite describe the feeling I used to get when I came to Italy… but the feeling I have today is completely different, because I live here now.

If visiting was hard to put into words, living here is even harder to explain.

I feel complete.
I feel like I belong.
Life moves slower… yet everything that truly matters still gets done.

So why do we live with such urgency?

Like that line I used to hear growing up…
“The hurrier I go, the behinder I get.”

At some point, I decided I didn’t want to live like that anymore.

And the truth is…
I grew up with it.
They call it the Roseto Effect.
Not just what you eat… but how you live.
How you gather.
How you take care of one another.

And somewhere along the way…
so many of us lost it.

The truth is—you can choose a slower life anywhere.
But sometimes you need to experience it again… to remember.
