Pranayama is a practice of controlling the breath (prana) to expand life energy, regulate the body, and calm the mind. We practice techniques of breath retention, and alternate nostril breathing to enhance vitality, reduce stress, and improve focus. It combines inhalation (Pūraka), exhalation (Recaka), and retention (Kumbhaka) to balance the nervous system and promote harmony between mind and body.
