And no, an injury doesn’t mean the end of your progress!
Here are top 4 reasons, in my opinion, why every injury can actually be a blessing in disguise 👇🏼
1️⃣ it exposes weaknesses in your technique and reminds you what muscles you must engage.
2️⃣ it humbles you, reminding you that your body has limits—and those limits must be respected.
3️⃣ it forces you to slow down and rebuild stronger, cleaner, and more intentional movement patterns.
4️⃣ it can completely reshape your lifestyle and training philosophy—teaching you that true discipline isn’t just pushing harder, but also prioritizing rest, sleep and recovery so your body can actually grow stronger.
For example, my first back injury while training contortion 1-on-1 with my teacher finally forced me to take seriously the importance of engaging the posterior chain—especially the glutes—in every backbend. That lesson not only protected me from future injuries but also refined my entire technique.
Are your backbends feeling weak or uncomfortable?
It’s not just about going deeper—it’s about building strength, control, and proper alignment.
That’s why I created the Backbend Starter Guide, a free mini-course designed to help you:
✔️ Engage the right muscles to protect your spine
✔️ Build strength for safer, more powerful backbends
✔️ Improve alignment to prevent injuries
