🖊️ 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The lab of Prof. Vittoria Raffa at the University of Pisa is offering 2 PostDoc positions (contratto di ricerca). Prof. Raffa was recently granted by Fondo Italiano per la Scienza (FIS) and European Research Council (ERC). The lab’s primary research focus is on understanding the molecular mechanisms activated by mechano-transduction in neurons, and force-induced modulation of gene expression at the transcriptional, post-transcriptional, and translational levels. The fellows will perform their research activities within the FIS and ERC advanced granted.
The ideal candidates should have experience in at least two of the following topics: neuronal models, mechano-transduction, microtubules, transcriptomics/ ChIP-seq, DNA cloning, Super resolution microscopy

🖊️ 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: We are seeking highly motivated candidates for a pre-doctoral or post-doctoral fellowship in cellular and molecular neuroscience. Our research focuses on understanding how genetic variants, environmental factors, and their interactions influence brain plasticity and behavior across the lifespan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neuroscience, biology, pharmacology, or a related field. Prior experience with behavioral assays, qPCR, Western blotting, and/or immunohistochemistry is highly desirable. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic research team.

Comprendere le difficoltàdi apprendimento per aiutare tutti i ragazzi", si terrà venerdì 18 luglio alle ore 21.15 a Casa Pellini presso la Torre di Castruccio in piazza Finelli ad Avenza (MS) e vedrà l'intervento del Prof. Tommaso Pizzorusso, neuroscienziato e direttore del laboratorio di Biologia della Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, e della prof.ssa Nicoletta Berardi, emerita dell'Università di Firenze e collaboratrice della Fondazione.

🖊️ 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The Tamura Lab for Circuit Physiology of Cognition at the University of Cambridge, UK, is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher. The team is seeking an ambitious and creative neurophysiologist to join a brand-new project funded by the Medical Research Council. The project aims to identify the memory circuits underlying perceptual and cognitive decision-making by developing wireless opto-physiological techniques in freely behaving marmosets.

🖊️ 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The GBA-PharmaTox Lab, led by Prof. Adriano Lama at the University of Pavia’s Department of Drug Sciences, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for the PROPLA project, funded by the prestigious Italian Science Fund (FIS 2). The lab conducts high-impact interdisciplinary research on the gut–brain axis, combining pharmacology, neuroscience, toxicology, and microbiology. PROPLA investigates how nanoplastics affect this axis, with a focus on changes in the murine gut microbiota and the development of targeted pharmacological interventions.

Dopo aver superato le selezioni locali e regionali che hanno coinvolto quasi 6000 studenti, i migliori giovani talenti da tutta Italia si sfideranno per conquistare un posto alla fase internazionale del Brain Bee, che riunisce studenti da tutto il mondo 🌍✨
La finale si svolgerà presso il Dipartimento di Scienze dell’Università Roma Tre.
Un evento che unisce scienza, passione e formazione, con l’obiettivo di avvicinare le nuove generazioni al mondo delle neuroscienze e promuovere la cultura scientifica.

🔎 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 in Molecular Neuroscience

🖊️ 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Two PhD positions (E13 65%) in Molecular Neuroscience are available in the research group of Prof. Ralf Enz at the Institute of Biochemistry, University Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany. The group investigates neurotransmitter receptors and associated proteins in sensory regions of the central nervous system, with a focus on the retina and cochlea. The current research project centers on proteins involved in night vision and implicated in night blindness, including GABA receptors, LRRTM4, and GPR179.
The lab provides access to a wide range of advanced methodologies and ensures close and supportive supervision. Ideal candidates are expected to demonstrate strong motivation, teamwork skills, the ability to work independently, and a deep interest in the scientific topic. Enthusiastic and curious candidates with experience in at least some of the following techniques are sought: molecular biology, protein biochemistry, cell culture, high-resolution STED microscopy, electrophysiology, and calcium imaging.
