For the past few months, I have been in a deep winter hibernation, one of rest, healing and transformation. This journey was not just about my own well-being but about how I can better serve the women and animals who come to me seeking guidance and balance.

In November, I underwent a necessary surgery after years of navigating health challenges. The time leading up to it was filled with lessons on resilience, trust and surrender. What emerged from this experience was a reawakening…a deeper innerstanding of holistic healing and how our spiritual and physical energetic bodies intertwine.

This time away allowed me to refine my practice, embracing a more profound way of working with women, animals and life.

Healing is not just about the body, as I share with my clients, it is about the spirit, the emotions, our temple space and the connection to the natural world. I have seen first hand how nature, energy work, and intuitive healing can amplify, transform and change our lives.

Now I return from the underworld journey, with new offerings, deeper wisdom and a commitment to helping others on their own journeys of healing, descent and self discovery.

Are you ready to step into your next level of healing? Let’s begin 🌱

Welcome to my rollercoaster ride known as surgical-induced menopause! If you thought regular menopause was a wild adventure, wait until you experience the fast-track version courtesy of surgery. Buckle up buttercup, grab a fan, and prepare to laugh through the flames and tears.

Let's dive right in with the infamous hot flashes. Imagine, if you will, a phoenix rising from the ashes. That's me every hour, except instead of gracefully soaring, I'm sweating like a turkey on Thanksgiving. These heat waves roll in like being ambushed by a heatwave that only you can feel, leaving you gasping for air and frantically flapping anything that resembles a fan.

The other day, I was convinced I had spontaneously combusted, leaving only a pile of clothes and a slightly charred pair of shoes. My family found me lying on the tile floor like our Labrador, desperately seeking cool relief like a lizard sunbathing in a desert mirage. It's moments like these, I truly understand how medieval witches felt at the stake—minus the broomstick and pointy hat.

Next up, let's talk about the new and improved nighttime routine: getting up to p*e every two hours. My bladder has suddenly decided it wants to join a marathon, and I am its unwilling coach. It's like having a newborn again, except this time, the cries are coming from my bladder.

I swear, if my bathroom trips were recorded in my steps, I'd have climbed 7 Munros by now. Instead, I'm left wandering the house in the dark, hoping not to stub my toe on any stray furniture, or wake the household by causing frantic barking from the squeaky toy under my feet. I may not be getting sleep, but at least I’m getting my steps in!

Ah, the emotional swings! Picture this: I’m watching TV, and a particularly touching commercial about dog food (yes, dog food) comes on. Cue the waterworks. Suddenly, I’m crying like I’ve just watched the end of a Nicholas Sparks movie. My family looks on in confusion, wondering why kibble has turned me into a blubbering mess.

One minute I'm laughing hysterically at a cat video, and the next, I’m tearing up over a detergent ad. My emotions are like a soap opera with a twist ending—unpredictable and overly dramatic. But hey, at least I’m keeping things interesting!

In the end, surgical-induced menopause is a journey filled with fiery moments, frequent bathroom visits, and unexpected tears. While it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, finding humor in the chaos is the best remedy. So, whether you're fanning yourself like you're fighting a dragon with a paper fan (spoiler alert...the dragon is winning) or crying over a sandwich, remember you're not alone. Together, we can rise from the ashes and laugh our way through the flames. Who knew menopause could be this entertaining?

“What’s one thing about surgical menopause that took you by surprise—and how do you handle it with humor (or sheer willpower)?”

The energy of February feels like a whirlwind, quick and rushed, yet it’s a time of transition, acting as a bridge from winter to spring. This time is about purification, shedding the old that’s still clinging to us. A liminal space where deep introspection is starting to blossom into optimism. February signals renewal from hibernation and emergence into the sun, but it’s also a gentle reminder to listen to our bodies and feel the alignment of nature within. The knowing of not to be hasty but patient, taking a moment to reflect, plan and thoughtfully consider what we want to plant and germinate in the coming spring. Are you feeling that inner awareness of nature and living in alignment with the seasons?

New Month…New Blog.

It’s the shortest month, with so much energy to drive us forward.

An important month of transition, to birth ourselves with regeneration. This year it’s a birth of new beginnings as we completed the past cycles.

How do you feel about February?

February stands as a bridge between the cold embrace of winter and the gentle awakening of spring. For those who live seasonally, this month is a time of transition and renewal guided by the energies of the land, nature and the Earth. At this time, we honor Imbolc, a celebration that marks the midway point between winter solstice and the spring equinox. It’s a period that echoes the stirring of life beneath the still frozen ground, a harbinger of the vibrant season to come.

My journey into February begins at the end of January, as I attune myself to the subtle energies of the land. Imbolc, for me, does not have a fixed date; it falls when Mother Earth reveals her awakening, sometimes as early as January 28 or as late as February 4. This flexibility allows me to honor the natural rhythm of the earth and align my practices to her cues.

The first step in my seasonal living is a thorough cleansing and purifying of my home. I start by removing all broken, unused, or no longer needed items such as gadgets, clothes, beauty products, and even furnishings. This act of decluttering creates space for new energies to enter. I cleanse the entire house, moving through each room, then saining and smudging, paying special attention to doorways, entrances and windows. Each space is then blessed anew, setting a fresh intention for the months ahead.

Weather permitting, I also turn to my garden. It’s time for cleaning out the winter beds, sharpening and checking the gardening tools. Next is replenishing and prepping the soil and compost. I prepare seed trays for the start of the season. Planning the garden during winter and prepping it for the year ahead is not only essential but rewarding. It allows me to align my planting for the coming spring. This action also starts me on my spring recipes, making sure I have what I need medicinal as well as nourishing.

Inside the home, I tend to my candles, incense, ritual bath herbs and my altar. These sacred spaces are purified and decorated to reflect the energies of the season. This connection to nature is vital in my life, as it honors and celebrates the turning Wheel and continuous cycle of life.

Imbolc's celebration is planned according to the signs and guidance of the goddess, honoring the transition from the Cailleach, the winter goddess, to Brigid, whose fires, warmth, and creativity herald the coming spring. We bake Imbolc cakes, enjoy mead, and welcome the light and renewal that Brigid brings.

February is a time of joyous transition, where the sleepy slumber of winter gives way to the determination and creativity of the coming months. It is nature’s bridge from rest and restoration to preparation for growth. By living seasonally and embracing the energies of this time, we can align ourselves with the earth’s cycles, welcoming the promise of spring and the light it brings.

As we step into February, let us celebrate the turning of the wheel, honoring the past, embracing the present, and preparing for the future. Through this mindful, seasonal living, we find balance and harmony with the rhythms of nature, allowing us to thrive in the ever-changing dance of life.

Each space is then blessed anew, setting a fresh intention for the months ahead. Decorations that reflect this sacred time are placed in each room, aligning with the natural elements of the season, cozy blankets, candles to welcome the light, green plants, Brigid’s Cross, wicker baskets are filled with fluffy pillows and plenty of cacao and teas are in their wooden trays, ready for the next mug.

Weather permitting, I also turn my attention to the garden. It's a time for cleaning out the winter beds, sharpening and checking my garden tools, and replenishing the compost and soil. I prepare trays for starter seeds and harvest whatever winter has left for me. Planning the garden for the year ahead is essential, as it allows me to align my planting with the coming spring. I even start checking my spring recipes, ensuring I'm prepared to embrace the bounty of the season.

Inside the home, I tend to candles, incense, and my altar. These sacred spaces are purified and decorated to reflect the energies of the season. This connection to nature is vital in my seasonal living, as it celebrates the turning of the wheel and the constant cycle of life.

With the start of 2025, a word, phrase or intention can be a powerful guide for the year ahead. Although, we are used to setting resolutions, they are almost abandoned by the second and third week of the month. Having a word, on the other hand, can be a beacon each month to look to. The word can be descripted and yet simple. The phrase could be an affirmation or even song lyric that you can say each morning and even making it into a morning ritual.
No matter how we view it, personal, goal oriented or work associated...this is a empowering tool to help you navigate the coming year and possibly assist you in hitting those goals.

I’m moving through five weeks since my surgery, and I feel it's finally time to sit down and reflect on this life-altering journey. It’s been a period filled with challenges, profound self-reflection, and, surprisingly enough, a rediscovery of my own "north star" and soul purpose.

The past month has been nothing short of a rollercoaster, a time for tests, lessons and growth. Physically, recovering from the hysterectomy and other repairs alone, has been demanding, but the emotional journey has been even more intricate. Losing my uterus felt like losing a part of my identity as a woman. It was a profound sense of detachment from my body, a feeling of being untethered from what has always been a part of me.

Yet, in this vulnerable state, I found an opportunity for deep introspection and shadow work. I discovered that my body had been holding onto old wounds, emotional and energetic imprints that I hadn’t fully addressed, even though I had been addressing the darkness surfacing within me. It became clear that to heal physically, I also needed to heal these hidden parts of myself that were rising from my depths.

As a Shamanic Healer, I know that our shadow work is never done. Unraveling our wounds can be a lifetime thing, hidden within our energetic body as well as our DNA. Things that may not even belong to us can be woven into our cellular being, wounds and traumas of our ancestors. This was a deep cavern I needed to descend into and the surgery, no matter how I didn’t want it, called for the time to walk this path.

How can we not look at a sunset, a beautiful flower or an ocean wave and not be moved by it?!

It’s a part of us at our deepest core, we just have to remember and feel into it again.

How do you see your reservoir? Is it overflowing or is it drying up?

These are great questions to ask yourself daily. With everything we do, think, feel, say and see in our daily routines and lives can affect how we perceive our energetic reservoir… our Well-Spring.

Do you have a sense of connectedness with your body, mind & spirit?

Are you allowing your feelings to be expressed or holding them back because they either show your vulnerability; or fear of making others uncomfortable; or how it may affect others in their behavior towards you?

If this resonates, encourage yourself to be mindful of your thoughts and perceptions of yourself. Recognize the importance of balance in your life so you can build your reservoir of wellness.

The Triskele, three spirals converging together and returning to center. Representing body, mind and spirit, as well as earth, water and sky and what I feel is underworld, middleworld and upperworld integrating together into wholeness.

It is feeling grounded and being present in our roots, allowing the soil and water to nourish our trunk, so our branches can bloom and connect to the cosmos.

This vision and feeling came to me during a journey I had done, not really recently but it was the jiggle I felt in my body that needed to be birthed.

This symbol is my new logo, but it is much more than that. It is the ancestral wisdom, combined with my soul’s purpose that has brought me to fulfilling my destiny.

I’m really stepping into who I am, who I was born to be and the light I bring into this world.

We, as women, keep evolving and growing. We transform from stages and lessons that life gifts us, only to become who we are meant to be. This truly is a gift.

Thank you to my sisters for encouraging me and supporting me to put in writing (and recording) the medicine that I have received throughout my life and the light codes I am gifted walking this natural path of mine.

Embracing the unknown is not something I take lightly, but it is something that has kindled a fire inside me.

Tonight we celebrate the Full Snow Moon in Leo. Yes, you read that right…Leo.

If you were to glimpse up at the night sky, know and find Leo, you’d find the moon in her fullest, safely in his arms.

I align with the true sky (thanks to my astrologer and sistar, Starkeeper Astrology) and the energies reflected from the cosmos.

As I put together my Esbat ritual tonight my card pull shows me exactly the energies and codes that are coming through.

Leo, brings the energy that is found in the center of the flame, emanates a bright and illuminating light for all to see. This energy suggests taking the lead, being a beacon and shine bright to guide those who need it.

The card pull that I did, coincided perfectly with this Leo energy.

You see the card “Messenger of Fire”, where the young man is standing tall, looking out over the land ahead of him. He holds a shield with a rising sun and scarab on it. He is ready for what’s ahead, golden like a lion and watching the out world for what’s to come.

Scarabs represent the cycles of life, death and rebirth as well as transformation and protection. They provide direction and encouragement on your journey. They also offer strength and perseverance as you overcome any obstacles. Also a powerful symbol of the Underworld. (Think of Persephone rising from the Underworld to birth spring again)

Next to our Messenger is a ram with golden horns. The ram itself expresses determination, leadership, and strength. The ram encourages us to assert ourselves into the role of a leader and step into new challenges head on.

The ram’s golden horns reflect the light of the sun and also symbolize mental clarity, truth and creativity.

The card itself is about the signs, codes and messages that your guides have been sending. If you are not paying attention you could miss the message. Truth requires light to be seen. What is right in front of you, that you may be not paying attention to?

So what task or action have you been taking lately, that you feel is unimportant? Perhaps you need determination to get it done? Use your strength, lead on, seize the day…

What seems mundane could be the very thing that transforms your life! 🔥
