Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) can play a key role in recovery after head and neck cancer treatment. By using electrical impulses to stimulate muscles, NMES helps prevent muscle weakness, improve swallowing, enhance speech, and reduce pain. It aids in regaining function and strength in the affected areas, speeding up recovery and improving quality of life for patients. A valuable tool in rehabilitation, NMES supports the healing process after surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy.
