Jersey Slackline Club

Jersey Slackline Club Slacklining is the ultimate balance sport that is growing in Jersey. Here you can meet the team and see what we are about. Website: www.slackjersey.com

By reading this description we assume you have read the 'Short description' and want to know more about us? If you haven't, not to worry, we shall briefly fill you in. So, we are a bunch of slackers, literally. You may have seen us bouncing between trees in Gorey Common or tricking on a beach, with some bbqs and chilled out vibes. Either way, slacklining is a very social sport, which brings people together of all ages. Our club coaches are freelancers for Tri-Slacklining Ltd, a company in the UK, which have the same intentions as the club. When we are not playing, we are available to hire. We run workshops, host school activities, attend events/private parties and engage with businesses for team building sessions. So what is Slacklining??? Well, slacklining is often mistaken for a tightrope but its a piece of webbing that is, when under tension it stretches & bounces like a trampoline. It attracts a wide range of people with different backgrounds; yoga practitioners, gymnasts, dancers, extreme sport athletes, trampolinists etc. each contributing their own unique style and insights to the developing sport. If you would like to book us or find out more about the sport, drop us an email at slackjersey@trislacklining.com or send a message to our inbox on the page and we'll get back to you.

With the weather starting to turn, and summer starting to look like it is fast disappearing, we are now putting our efforts into getting the indoor club up and running again,

Now the question is, we have 2 venues available, one being Fort Regent and the other being St Johns Recreation Centre, which venue would people prefer and which day of the week best suits everyone?

This is something we want to get right and keep going to bring through fresh new slackliners and improve the skills of old members.

And remember,

Keep it Slack!

So on Thursday evening we had the pleasure of meeting Chris who has taken up the challenge of trying 100 different sports in 100 days! Matt and our new friend Robert showed him the ropes (or should we say line) of basic slacklining,
Chris did extremely well at his first attempt of slacklining, we even think he may have caught the slacklining bug!

Good luck with the rest of your challenge Chris! Hope to see you again soon!

Keep it slack!

Following on from our earlier post about the session tomorrow, it will now need to be slightly later at 1pm, again everyone is welcome to come and have a go,

As always,
Keep it slack!

If you are looking for something to do for the last couple of weeks of the summer holidays,
don't live out west, or are not a fan of the hustle and bustle of what can be a very crowded St Brelades Beach, why not check out our friends over at Gorey Watersports, which also has FREE parking!

So it has been very very quiet on here for a while, we apologise for that, Mark and Matt both had personal commitments which meant that Slack Jersey had to take a back seat for a while,

Saying that, we are now back and are looking to generate some interest once again, we still have all of the gear and are keen to get back on the line,

We will keep you updated with park sessions and if or when the indoor club will be back.

Keep it Slack!

If you came down i'm sure you would agree that we had a great time at Spice 'Arts & Music Festival'. This probably has to be our favourite photo of the weekend of when it started raining and we pitched our own slackline tent! A different kind of slacking going on here!
