The idea of Natural Therapies came to Michelle when she was working as Complimentary Therapy practitioner and co-coordinator at her local Hospice. After 12 years of working and training within Hospice she decide to open her own centre in 2006, as her experiences had taught her how valuable Complimentary Therapies were to life. Michelle is trained in many therapies and fortunate to have trained within clinical settings like the Royal Marsden Hospital, and also Trinity College, Dublin amongst others. Initially her interest was in working with cancer and motor neuron patients but it soon became obvious to her that therapies can help people in many life situations, alongside clinical medicine and went on to work with many that had experienced difficulties through accidents, ill health, mental health and just general physical issues that every day living can cause. She was fortunate to find a room within a doctors surgery working alongside clinical colleagues and during this time started to teach her love of therapies to others at the local college.” My passion is Aromatherapy and Massage although I integrate other therapies into my sessions depending on the needs of each individual person, bespoke to them.”
Michelle then went on to open a much larger centre, facilitating and helping many other practitioners to practice, a stepping stone for them to evolve. Following a difficult year, for many reasons she decided to downsize and now just concentrates on what she loves most and that is working with her clients and son Matthew, who is also a practitioner and is particularly interested in sport and rehab work. He has extensive training and obviously has grown up with therapies as a backup to many life situations. We continue to study the benefits of therapies and look forward to sharing our knowledge when you visit us.
