Pilates Fit with Audrey Pilates Fit with Audrey Great for those who need help with bad backs, want to improve their posture and muscle tone or increase flexibility.

A varied class suitable for those just beginning and those more experienced, concentrating on core conditioning - to strengthen and tone all major muscle groups. The exercises are performed on or around a mat and can be adapted for every level of fitness and ability - you will be given guidance for your ability as the class unfolds. I am a qualified exercise teacher who has been teaching for more

than 30 years. You will never get bored with this work-out. I have a huge number of ways to make you aware of every muscle, and you will never do the same routine twice in a row - in other words you won't know what is coming next! Because it is run on a course basis, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. You will make friends and there is no pressure for you to keep up with everyone else.

Pilates is a fantastic, controlled way of losing stiffness and relaxing at the same time. Even if you've tried Pilates somewhere else before, it probably wasn't like this.
Classes are adapted to suit all levels. Spaces are limited - Oakfield (next to Hautlieu) & St Mary available.

Half-term week is here, and that can only mean one thing- no Pilates. Oh, and that you get time off to do your own thing.

Yay, I hear you shout! I get a week off for good behaviour!
Yes, and you absolutely deserve it.
I fully understand the commitment of coming along week after week, but I'm hoping you think, like me, it's worth all the time and effort.

I love the friendly atmosphere that exists in the classes. I put it down to everyone realising we're all in this together. Getting or keeping fit and flexible isn't an easy task. The work you have to put in each week shows how committed you are to looking after yourself, both physically and mentally.
The only things you need to take part are comfortable clothes, a bottle of water, a band and a mat. No expensive outfits, snazzy shoes, make-up, and definitely no pressure to be better than anyone else!

The new 6-week courses start next week, Tuesday 3rd and Thursday 5th June.
I hope you can join me, even if it's only for part of the time.

PILATES FIT at OAKFIELD. This course is now FULL.
If you are a CURRENT CLASS MEMBER, or have contacted me and BOOKED A TASTER session, YOU HAVE A SPACE.
The online option to book has already been closed, but I am still getting requests to join the class.
To avoid disappointment, if you are NEW and a place HASN'T BEEN CONFIRMED, please DON'T turn up to the first session on April the 22nd because you will be turned away.
A couple of spaces are still available on Thursdays at St. Mary's Community Centre.

This is an important update regarding the upcoming courses.

ST MARY'S
I booked the dates of the next course at St Mary's on April 2nd.
This morning, I received an email to let me know that we will be unable to use the hall on May 8th because it is being decorated ahead of the Liberation Day celebrations the next day.
If you have already paid for that evening, please let me know so that I can arrange a refund for you.
If you are still to pay, it will now only be a 4 week course, so just £36.
The online payment option will be changing accordingly later today.

OAKFIELD
The £10 taster option is no longer available and has been changed to St Mary's only.

I can't believe it but this week is the last of the course.
That five weeks has flown by.

No need to worry about not getting your weekly "fix", because another one starts shortly.
There are two weeks when you can practice by yourself or, more likely, have a good rest!

The next 5-week course starts on April 22nd at Oakfield and the 24th at St Mary.

Get with it! Resistance is futile!

Firstly, Happy New Year :)

Let's see what 2025 brings.

One thing you can be sure of is that your muscles will be glad to get back to work, toning and stretching out.
You might not be so enthusiastic after a few weeks away from your mat!

You'll be delighted to know that, for the last few weeks, I've been practising new exercises along with variations of existing ones.

Some of these involve the use of resistance bands.
If you missed my last email, I am GIVING you a band each , so you don't miss out on the fun!

The next 6-week courses begin on Tuesday the 7th at Oakfield and Thursday the 9th at St. Mary's.

I hope you are enjoying the run-up to Christmas.

If you're anything like me, you may still be working.

This means you have limited time to buy presents and actually wrap them! Then, there's the food to sort out which means a very long shopping list. Never mind toning your triceps, you'll need to sharpen your elbows ready to battle your way around the supermarket.
All in all, it's a pretty stressful time so I'm guessing, much as you'd like to, you haven't thought much about practising roll-downs, body balance or bridge position.

So to cheer you up, I have bought a special present for you all!

As you may know, I like my classes to be as varied as possible so you'll never get bored. Unfortunately, there are new exercises, or variations on existing ones, that I am unable to offer because not everybody has a certain piece of kit.

I've sourced some really good ones, so please pick one up at your next class and let the fun begin!
