My husband was not convinced when I went rogue with the crush and roast situation. But (as usual 😉) he is now fully converted.

Another gorgeous way to eat the most beautiful seasonal potato we have on this island 🥔

Jersey Royal Crushed Potatoes

Wash. Par boil in salted water 12–15 mins until soft. Drain. Place on a tray and gently crush each one. Olive oil, salt. Roast 200°C / 180 fan for 25–30 mins until golden and crispy outside, soft inside.

We can get all fancy pants with the menopause ✨

I was sitting at lunch with my girls at The Salty Dog yesterday and the friend sat next to me nailed it - menopause is an industry unto itself now. Companies know we’re desperate to feel better, sleep better, look better - and they price accordingly. And they make us feel like we need it all!

Nothing wrong with wanting all of that.

Everything wrong with spending a fortune on the top layer when the foundation isn’t there.

The foundation isn’t complicated. It’s just not sexy enough to sell 👉
Sleep like it’s your job. Manage your stress before it manages you. Drink your water. Eat consistently. Cut the alcohol back - we all did yesterday, and I barely recognised ‘us’ 😂. Move your body. Lift heavy things 💪

And eat the foods that actually have a proven track record for supporting your hormones.

Not occasionally. Not when you remember. Consistently.

That’s the carousel. That’s the whole thing.

This Asian slaw honestly ticks every single box for me…
crunchy, fresh, zingy, a little sweet, a little heat… just SO good.

It’s one of those bowls where every bite hits differently and you end up going back for more without even thinking about it 🤭

wellness can feel like another bill ➡️ biohacking gadgets, retreats, trendy supplements… all lovely, all optional.

but here’s the truth: your nervous system doesn’t care how much you spent.
it just wants you to calm the f..k down.

and the things that actually work? most of them are still £0:

✅ fresh air and a moment to yourself
✅ walking instead of scrolling
✅ sitting with a book and ignoring everyone
✅ drinking water like a functioning adult
✅ going to bed earlier than your second wind
✅ 5 slow breaths before you react

expensive doesn’t equal effective.
simple, consistent, free stuff often does.

To oats for breakfast… or not?

Some people spike.
Some people thrive.

And if you thought seed oils were controversial…
the debate around oats is right up there.

Some are literally saying ✋ ‘don’t eat them
While research from the ZOE project shows it’s not that simple - we all respond differently to the same foods.

For many women in midlife, anchoring breakfast with 30g protein can be a game changer for:
✨ energy
✨ cravings
✨ body composition

And for others?
They genuinely feel amazing starting the day with oats and help keep them super regular 💩

Here’s the bit most people miss 👇
