Erase. Delete. Start Over.
I’m ruthless with things that don’t work. Jobs, relationships, books, classes … gone. Life’s too short to drag “maybe” along for the ride.

Yes, it’s hard when you’ve invested time, money, emotions but those are sunken costs. You can always start again. And starting again is freedom.

Case in point: I dug out my 4-year-old YouTube channel to upload new classes… and cringed. My teaching has changed so much, I barely recognise that version of me. Hours of filming, editing, dragging mats across fields and over barbed wire - all deleted. No mercy.

Because starting fresh beats carrying old baggage. Every. Single. Time.

I’ve done it before - in work, love, even moving countries. It’s scary, yes. But you come back wiser, stronger, and clearer on what matters.

Something new is brewing (and not just in my tea pot). This time, I’m building with intention, clarity, and the goal of serving you the best I possibly can.

Where should we direct our energy this August? ⚡️☀️🌻

August always feels like the Sunday of summer - warm, golden, but quietly whispering of change. As the light softens and that hint of an autumnal chill greets us in the morning, it’s the perfect time to consciously conserve your energy and direct it wisely.

Soften your schedule, step outside, and let nature guide you: the flickering of light through trees, the sound of bees wrapping up their summer business, the smell of blackberries ripening in the hedges. This is your gentle nudge to SLOW DOWN and SAVOUR.

Start DECLUTTERING, mentally and physically. Think of it as prepping your internal nest for the turn of the season. What’s no longer worth your energy? Which habits, objects, or thoughts could do with a loving send-off?

August is an ideal time to begin planning your grounding autumn rituals - routines that keep your Prana topped up, not drained. (I have some beautiful classes and events coming soon that I can’t wait to share with you… watch this space 🧡🍂)

Let this month be a playful blend of presence and preparation.

Good News… and Not So Good News 🙃

The good news? I’ve opened bookings for our cosy Tuesday Evening Yoga – Autumn Edition 🍁 now called Nourishing Flow.

The not so good news? I only have 1 or 2 spots left because the lovely souls in the Heartcore WhatsApp group got first dibs a couple of days ago (yep, early bird gets the mat! 🐦🧘‍♀️)

I miss those mornings when I used to meditate before work - I’d sit, breathe, and just be. Lately life’s felt more like a little whirlwind of life admin and pace. 
⁣
But the other day, on a nature walk, something in me exhaled. My body remembered: meditation is coming home. 
⁣
So what actually happens when you meditate and why is it the secret ingredient your nervous system is craving?⁣
⁣
1. You stop swimming in the soup of chaos. The emotional fog clears and you realise: “Ahhh… maybe I was overthinking that comment.” Your ego takes a back seat and perspective rolls in.⁣
⁣
2. You gain clarity, not from over-analysing, but from the deep inner knowing. 
⁣
3. You hear YOU. Not your to-do list or that one memory from 2007 but you, the one who quietly knows what really matters.⁣
⁣
4. Your body melts. Muscles soften. Face relaxes. It’s like SPA for your soul.⁣
⁣
5. You stop trying to fix everything. Meditation doesn’t make you a saint, it helps you sit with the truth. Even when it’s wobbly. Especially when it’s real!
⁣
Having said this, meditation is definitely NOT one-size-fits-all.⁣ I’d love you to ask yourself a question… What do YOU want from your practice today? Peace and quiet? Insight? Rest? Absolutely nothing but a few breaths to yourself? All valid. All welcome.⁣
⁣
Also… meditating with someone you love, partner, friend, your curious teenager or even pet, brings a whole different kind of magic. That quiet connection, even without speaking, is something else. Like your nervous systems SIGH in sync.⁣
⁣
And no, you don’t need a Himalayan cave, incense from Tibet, or the flexibility of a rubber band.⁣ Just 10 minutes. Sit comfortably, breathe, be. Maybe guided, maybe not. Just… listen in.⁣
⁣
We do NOT meditate to escape life.⁣ We meditate to come HOME to it, and to ourselves.⁣
⁣

Beach Yoga Bliss 🧘‍♀️☀️🌊

Sunday morning brought us a little sun, a little cloud, plenty of rolling waves, and that soft, welcoming sand that makes you want to curl your toes in gratitude 😌

We got together with hearts open and intention set: cultivating happiness as both an attitude and a practice. Because, on a bittersweet side, summer’s on the countdown now… and every single beach yoga session is becoming a sun-kissed memory of this season of community, movement, and gratitude.

We stretched to create space, played with twisty crunches, and breathed in rhythm with the sea joining in the flow. And just as we melted into a peaceful, sun-drenched Savasana… the sky offered a very gentle drizzle to seal our practice. Pure magic ✨

Here’s to more of these golden moments on the beach with (5 weekends in August left!):
