[11/28/19]   Throughout the past 2 1/2 years many of our customers have lost a considerable amount of weight (2,410 kg - 5,313 lb to date).
In other Naturhouse shops around the world, their customers are pleased to post photos of their before and after and their progress. These are quite encouraging for other customers who are also seeking results, but unfortunately I am not allowed to reveal other customer’s names or the progress they have made when giving out information on the shop and the fantastic results which may be achieved.
So I would like to invite my customers to post their before and after photos on this page should they wish to do so. Let’s show the rest of Jersey how easy it is to lose weight with Naturhouse and how your overall health has improved (HBP, Cholesterol, Diabetes, etc) since you started to lose weight.
Here at Naturhouse we combine diet, supplements and always encourage our customers to practice some kind of exercise (sometimes even a gentle walk does the job!)

NATURAL REMEDIES!!!

TOMATO SOUP

Ingredients:

* 1 – 1.25kg ripe tomatoes, chopped.
* 1 medium onion, chopped.
* 1 small carrot, chopped.
* 1 celery stick, chopped.
* 1 tbsp. olive oil.
* 2 tsp. tomato pure.
* 1 pinch of sugar
* 2 bay leaves.
* 2 pints (950ml) reduce salt vegetable stock.

METHOD:

1.- Heat the pan with the oil. Fry the onion, carrot and celery.
2.- Chop tomatoes and add to the pan. Stir continuously.
3.- Add the sugar, bay leaves and tomato pure to the pan.
4.- Add the stock and bring to the boil.
5.- Simmer for 20-25 minutes.
6.- Using a blender, puree the soup.
7.- Reheat and enjoy.

ROAST PUMPKIN AND KALE LASAGNE
Ingredients:
* 3 tbsp. Olive oil.
* 1 Medium red onion, thinly sliced.
* 2 Cloves garlic, minced.
* 8-10 Roma tomatoes, diced.
* 1/2 tsp. each, salt and pepper.
* 1 tbsp. Balsamic vinegar.
* 4 Cups cooked, mashed, pumpkin puree.
* 1 lb. Kale, ribs removed and washed.
* 8 oz. No bake lasagne noodles.
* 15 oz. Ricotta cheese.
* 1 Egg.
* 1/4 Cup Parmesan cheese.
* 1/4 tsp. Salt.
* 1/8 tsp. Ground nutmeg.
* 1/4 tsp. Pepper.
* 8 oz. Sliced provolone cheese.

METHOD
1.- If you haven’t already, cook the pumpkin.
2.- You can do that by either roasting in the oven or steaming in the microwave.
3.- This can be done up to a few days ahead.
4.- Reserve 4 cups and set aside.
5.- To make the sauce, combine the sliced onion and olive oil in a medium stock pot over medium heat.
6.- Cook onions for 10 minutes until soft. Add garlic and stir one minute more.
7.- Add diced tomatoes, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
8.- Cook over medium high heat for 15 minutes.
9.- Stir in balsamic vinegar.
10.- Remove sauce from heat to cool while you prepare the other parts of the lasagne.
11.- In a steam basket or microwave, steam kale for 5-8 minutes or until tender.
12.- Transfer kale to cutting board and finely chop.
13.- Set aside to cool.
14.- In a small bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon salt and black pepper. Stir to combine.
15.- Now it’s time to assemble the lasagne. Butter a 9 x 13 pan. Put about 1/4 cup of the sauce on the bottom of pan. Line with 3 no bake lasagne noodles.
16- Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture onto of the noodles.
17.- Next, spread a 1/3 of the pumpkin, followed by 1/3 of the kale, 1/3 of the tomato sauce and 1/3 of the provolone cheese.
18- Repeat with two more layers using the rest of the lasagne ingredients.
19.- Preheat oven to 190 C.
20.- Bake, covered, for 35 minutes and uncovered for 15 minutes.
21.- Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before cutting slicing and serving.

OVEN BAKED PUMPKIN

* 1 Pumpkin.
* 2 tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil.
* Rosemary.
* Sage.
* Coarse black pepper or in granules.
*Thyme
* Garlic.

METHOD

1.- Preheat the oven 375 F.
2.- Dice the pumpkin in cubes, keeping the skin on, and distribute the cubes on an oven baking sheet with the oil, and herbs.
3.- Finely mince the garlic, rosemary, salt until it makes a cohesive paste. (You can use the food processor if that's easier).
4.- Divide the minced garlic, rosemary, salt between the pumpkin slices/cubes and press it into the scored pumpkin flesh.
5.- Press a single sage leaf on each slice of pumpkin.
6.- Bake for about 50 minutes, or until the pumpkin is tender.
7.- Finish and garnish your serving platter with fresh rosemary.

Broccoli croquettes

Ingredients
* 12 Ounces fresh broccoli florets (about 1 head).
* 1 Egg, beaten.
* ½ Cup Shredded Parmesan cheese.
* 1 Cup breadcrumbs.
* ½ Cup spring onions, thinly sliced (about 4).
* ½ tsp. Salt.
* ¼ tsp. Garlic powder.
* Black pepper, to taste

Method:

1.- Preheat the oven to 190° C and line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat, or lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray.

2.- Bring a medium saucepan of water to a boil and carefully drop the florets in the water. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, until fork tender. Drain and run cold water over the florets to quickly cool them down.

3.-Spread the florets out on a plate lined with several paper towels to dry.

4.- When the broccoli is mostly dried, coarsely chop it up small.

5.- In a large mixing bowl add the chopped broccoli, beaten egg, cheese, breadcrumbs, spring onions, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.

6.- Stir the ingredients together and then shape into croquettes using about 1½ tablespoons of the broccoli mixture.

7.- Bake on the prepared baking sheet for 16-18 minutes, flipping over halfway through baking time to ensure even browning.

8.- Serve with your favourite dipping sauce, or plain.

WILD BLUEBERRY BANANA PUMPKIN SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:
* ½ Cup wild blueberries
* ¼ Cup canned pumpkin (not pie filling).
* 1 Frozen banana.
* 1 tbsp. Almond butter, plus more for topping.
* 1/8 tsp. Turmeric.
* ½ tsp. Vanilla extract.
* ½ tsp. Cinnamon.
* 1 tsp. Pumpkin pie spice.
* 1 tbsp. Ground flax seed.

Optional:
* ½ Graham cracker, for topping.

METHOD

1.- Combine all ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth.

2.- Add more almond milk as needed for desired thickness.

3.- Garnish with a dollop of almond butter and graham cracker crumbles.

4.- Serve immediately.

CHICKEN LETTUCE TACOS
Ingredients:
* 3-5 tbsp. hoisin sauce (gluten-free, if needed).
* 2 tbsp. soy sauce (or 1 tablespoon tamari, if gluten-free).
* 2 tbsp. rice wine vinegar.
* 1 tsp. sesame oil.
* 1 tsp. corn-starch, optional.
* 1-pound ground chicken, white meat or dark meat (or ground turkey).
* 2 tsp. vegetable oil, divided.
* 8 ounces’ mushrooms chopped small.
* 1 8-ounce can water chestnuts, drained and chopped small.
* 3 cloves garlic, minced.
* 1-inch piece ginger minced (about 1 tbsp.).
* 1/2 cup sliced green onions (from about 6 green onions), divided.
* 2 small bibb lettuce.
* Red pepper flakes, to serve.
* Hot sauce, to serve.
* Optional extras: chopped onions, chopped bell peppers, chopped or grated carrots.

METHOD

1.- Mix together the sauce: Combine 3 tablespoons of the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Whisk to combine with a fork and keep near the stove. If you'd like a more thickened, glossy sauce, whisk in 1 teaspoon of corn-starch.

2.- Cook the ground chicken: Heat a teaspoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and cook until cooked through and no longer pink, 7 to 8 minutes. Break up the chicken into small crumbles as you cook. Transfer the cooked chicken to a clean bowl.

3.- Cook the vegetables and aromatics: Warm the other teaspoon of oil in the skillet.

4.- Add the mushrooms, along with any other optional extra vegetables you want, and cook until tender, 4 to 5 minutes.

5.- Stir in the water chestnuts, garlic, and ginger, and cook until aromatic, about 30 seconds.

6.- Combine the vegetables and chicken: Transfer the cooked chicken back to the pan with the vegetables, along with half of the green onions.

7.-Stir in the sauce: Pour the sauce over the top of the chicken mixture and stir to coat.
8.- Cook just until you hear bubbling and the sauce is warmed through, 30 to 60 seconds.

9.- Taste a spoonful of the mixture and add more hoisin sauce if you'd like a stronger flavour.

10.- Serve with the lettuce: Break off all the lettuce leaves and pile them on a plate in the centre of the table, along with small dishes with hot sauce, red pepper flakes, and the remaining sliced green onions.

11.-Transfer the hot chicken mixture to a serving dish or serve straight from the skillet. Give everyone a spoon and let them dig in — place a generous spoonful of chicken mixture in the middle of a lettuce leaf, top with green onions and hot sauce or red pepper flakes and eat right away.
